Hi everyone! I hope you're all ready for a new one-shot! Please enjoy!!

(Natsu and Lucy are married)

Natsu glanced up at the ceiling with tired eyes as he groaned tiredly. He took his glance away from the ceiling and then looked toward the bathroom door where his wife walked out of. Damp, blonde hair stuck to her shoulders as she hung her towel up behind the door. Once finished, she then finally made her towards the bed as she noticed the exhausted dragon slayer.

"What's up with you?" She giggled softly.

Natsu groaned tiredly, exaggeratedly as well.

Lucy playfully smacked his shoulder, "What's up?"

Natsu glanced toward her, "Ice prick said at the guild today that one day his kid is gonna be stronger than you and I's."

Lucy scoffed as she glanced down at him tenderly, she uttered, "Natsu, our kids barely know how to walk yet."

Natsu sighed as he placed his head right on his pillow, contemplating about the present and the future. The dragon slayer knew parenting was hard, but he didn't expect it to be this hard. It often made him wonder how some kids turned out to be fine while raised with only one parent. Well, I was raised with only one parent. Natsu thought. Despite it all, Natsu was quite proud where they had gotten. Lucy seemed incredibly happy about the family the two of them raised and that gave Natsu a reason to be happy as well. They had a beautiful and healthy daughter. He couldn't be anymore grateful.

Soft voices caught Natsu's attention as he looked out their bedroom door, causing Lucy to look out as well.

Small little hands and knees began to crawl their way over as Happy tried his best to baby-talk the toddler away. Happy sighed, looking up to the married couple. "I'm sorry! I tried to put her to bed but she wouldn't listen!"

Lucy giggled sweetly, causing the corners of the baby's lips to go up in an instant. The blonde gently lifted the child from the floor and grinned down at the exceed, "Don't worry about it, Happy. I've got her, you can get some rest now. I know you've been trying your best with her today."

Happy cheered tiredly, "Aye~ Thank you, Lucy!" He yawned as he then walked his small feet toward his bed.

Meanwhile, with Lucy, she softly sat on the bed with the energetic child in her arms, causing Natsu to sit up at the sight of his own daughter.

"So, I heard you, missy, didn't want to go to bed." Lucy spoke in an adorable, high-pitched voice that Natsu couldn't help but admire. They did once babysit Asuka, but that was awhile ago. But compared to now, he had no idea how she did it and in a way, he kinda grew jealous of Nashi.

Lucy gently placed Nashi in between she and Natsu to allow her to have some freedom as she quickly resorted to softly pulling on Natsu's scarf.

"Hey Luce, how do you do it?" Natsu questioned the blonde as he softly tugged on her little finger.

Lucy gently combed through Nashi's short hair with her fingers, "Do what?"

"Be so charming. Like, literally everyone of all ages love you." Natsu replied, gazing down at his wife.

Lucy sweetly grinned up at him, "Natsu, you have that too. Maybe not exactly but people always feel safe when around you. Sure, some people absolutely despise being around you but there are so many people who are pulled to you in a different type of way. Like Nashi here." She referred to the small child pulling on Natsu's hands and trying to form them into fists. "Ever since she saw you fight that one bad guy, she's been hinting to you that she wants you to defend her."

"Really?" Natsu grinned brightly, causing Lucy to nod, grinning back as well.

"Aww~" Natsu ruffled his daughter's hair messily as she giggled. "Don't worry, I'll always protect you! Just like how I always protect your mommy from jumping off towers, getting kidnapped from bad people, random dragon attacks in the middle of nowhere, and so much more! Papa Dragneel is gonna protect you for forever, you got it?! Even when you think papa is not there, papa is still protecting you!" Natsu exclaimed, embracing Nashi tightly as she looked towards her mother for help. "I know you don't understand me right now, but I love you so so so so so so much!"

Lucy couldn't help but grin passionately at Natsu's fatherly ways. He was childish and reckless, but with no doubt, was he loving and warm-hearted.

The blonde softly pulled at his arms, "Okay Natsu, you're suffocating her."

"Oh, sorry." Natsu sheepishly chuckled as he glanced at Nashi  then towards his wife. He softly parted the hug with Nashi then patted her head before placing her back in the middle.

And with that being said, the three of them played for a short while before being taken by tiredness. They prepared for bed and didn't bother to return Nashi back to her crib. Instead, they softly placed Nashi in between, on top of their covers as the married couple faced each other, watching the toddler grab at her small toes that were coated with fuzzy socks. Lucy softly covered her hands with fuzzy mittens to avoid her from scratching at her face too harshly for she was only about two-to-three months old.

Natsu laid on his arm as his elbow was bent, his hand supporting his head as he gazed at the two most important girls in his life. He grinned softly, "She has your eyes."

Lucy helped Nashi fixed her mitten as she glanced back at Natsu, "What?" She softly giggled, a light blush beginning to form on her fair cheeks.

"She has the same chocolate eyes you have. The ones that are kind and caring. She has the same ones as you. Honestly, it's probably my second favorite feature of her." Natsu responded.

Lucy laid back down on her back, "Is that so? What's your first?"

"Hmmmm, well, she does have the same hair as I."

Lucy scoffed jokingly. "That's your favorite? Try fixing her hair every morning."

Natsu whined, "Why try taming it? Let the pink locks be free~!"

Lucy giggled softly listening to his whining as she softly played with Nashi's hair as she begun to slowly fall asleep.

"But nah, I was just kidding. Her eyes are definitely my favorite." Natsu glanced toward Lucy as the same layer of pink brushed her fair cheeks and a warm grin graced her lips.

Lucy sighed happily as she glanced back down at Nashi, she muttered, "I think she fell asleep."

Natsu glanced over just to be sure, "That was quick." He whispered.

"Fastest all week." She quietly exclaimed.

Natsu yawned happily, as he laid back down in his spot, turning off his lamp, leaving only the blonde's on. To end the night, she slowly rose up and carefully placed a tender peck on his lips as he happily returned it. Then, she  quickly and quietly return to her spot as Natsu glanced back at her. He muttered, "I love you," He rubbed Nashi's head softly. "And I love you as well."

Lucy muttered as she soon felt herself drifting away. "I love you both always."

And with that, the two of them drifted off to a quiet and comfortable sleep as the two cuddled with Nashi resting in between their arms.
