2022, May 22 - Seokjin (The Loops)

Taehyung almost screamed, "Are you going to forget me soon? Jimin too? And Jungkook? And Namjoon hyung? Do you know who you are?" Tears were about to trickle down from his bewildered eyes. He looked straight into my eyes and said, "I know you're helping us. I don't know how. I can't explain it." Taehyung stammered and seemed as if he didn't know what he was saying, but he still continued. "What I mean is you were there for Yoongi hyung. You called and you went to the hospital. I mean the emergency door on the second floor. What I mean is, what is wrong with you? Why have you changed so much? What is the problem? You have to tell us so that we can help you."

I didn't look away and listened until Taehyung finished. I was sad and angry at the same time. Taehyung said I helped them, but that was not true. I did what I had to do, to break away from the time loop. They want to help me? It almost made me smirk.

Taehyung must have thought I had a problem. I did have an important task. Finding the map of the soul. Preventing the accident on September 30. But they couldn't help me with it.

I shoved him away and said, "I don't need anyone's help and I don't help anyone."

I ascend to the platform, fearful and also... Full of emotions. At last... The end of all my plans and journeys... I can't let my guard down.

Memories of past days flash by as I look down. Moments of suffering and loneliness. Moments when I wanted to give up, watching all of the misfortunes repeat. I worry that Taehyung will follow me up, but I'm the only one standing here... That's a relief.

"Hyung! Seokjin hyung!" Jungkook waves to me from his spot down below.

Everyone's look up at me - Taehyung included. We've all made it back to the ocean. Again. Together.

Night falls, and we head back to where we're staying. We eat dinner together, talking about trivial things...

Hoseok: Wow, it's so nice seeing everyone together! Shall we dance?!

Taehyung: That's not dancing, that's just wiggling!

We all laugh. Someone's on his feet and grooving. Now that I think about it, it's time we've come this far. It's something I hoped so desperately for... And a day I thought would never come. We were all lonely once. We hid our own scars and lived through it alone. But it's different now. We're all by each other's sides. We'll never be alone again. But what's this nagging feeling in the corner of my mind? Yeah... It's probably because I haven't told them about it all. I can't run from it any longer. I have to tell them to really be able to see them properly. I'm afraid of their reactions... But I have to do it.

"I have something to say." Only one person turns to look at me through the chaos. Just Taehyung.

I looked at the others again. They were making silly jokes, laughing, chatting and roaring with laughter when someone sprang up and started dancing. I couldn't believe what was unfolding before my eyes. We got here together after so many trials and errors.

I'd dreamed of this for so long and so desperately that it seemed impossible it was actually happening. But I felt uneasy because I still had something to confess. I kept hesitating and couldn't muster up the courage. But I couldn't run away from it all anymore. Unless I told them. I can't even bare to look at my friends in the face.

Then dinner was almost over, I told them I had something to say. But they didn't pay much attention. Only Taehyung was staring at me.

Several days ago, he came to me and asked me about the dream he'd been having. "You know what it means, right?" He pressed me for an answer, but I acted like I didn't know.
