The next couple weeks went by quickly, at first Colby and I would wake eachother with nightmares. Both of us having the same dream with the same fears. We worked through it though, and have been sleeping better now.

We finally felt good enough to put Mia's crib back in the nursery because there were no signs of that thing coming back.

Sam and Colby's video was now sitting at 14 million views and was rising each day, which was insane. They have been in New York for the last week to do some press after A LOT of convincing.

Colby was so scared to leave us alone again but I somehow convinced him we would be okay, and we were. Nothing happened, other than the fact that we had to call Kevin about a spider again.

I was getting ready to go pick them up when my phone rang, "hello?" I answered because I didn't recognize the number, "why didn't you invite me to your wedding?" My mom's voice rang through the phone, "um...because you walked out of my life?" I said snarkily and tickled Mia's tummy so she wouldn't scream. "Okay, but I'm still your mother. Don't you think you should at least me tell you're getting married?" She asked angrily, "no! I really don't! If you wanted to be a part of my life you should have stuck around. End of story." I snapped back. "You've turned into a real bitch you know that?" She said and I rolled my eyes, "heh, like mother like daughter." I mumbled as Mia started crying. I think she could feel the tension I was feeling.

"It's okay sweet girl..it's okay." I cooed, as I held my phone to my shoulder. "Did you have a kid?!" My mom screeched on the other end. "I did." I said simply and lifted Mia, bouncing her.

"What is wrong with you?!" She yelled and I rolled my eyes, "nothing is wrong with me mom. Did you need anything else? I'm kind of busy." I said and rubbed Mia's back trying to soothe her. My mom just groaned on the other end then hung up. "Fuuuuck." I groaned and grabbed the diaper bag. "Okay. Let's go pick up daddy." I said to Mia who finally stopped crying, then picked her up.

When I went downstairs Kat was in the kitchen, "hey, I'm going to get the guys." I said with a sigh, "you okay?" She asked as I grabbed my keys, "yeah, I'm alright my mom just called." I said and rolled my eyes, "ew. Do I need to go beat her up?" She said and I laughed, "I don't think that's necessary." I said and opened the door to leave.

When I got to the airport, Sam and Colby were already waiting outside for me. I pulled up and Colby opened the passenger door, "hey baby girl." He said and leaned over the console to kiss me, "hey." I said and smiled as Mia giggled at the sound of Colby's voice. "Hi little princess!" He yelled happily then opened the back door, to give her a kiss.

"Hey Cora, glad to see you're still alive." Sam said and slid into the backseat, "shut the fuck up Sam." I said with a laugh.

"How was New York?" I asked as we started the drive home. "It was fine, we talked to a lot of people. It was exhausting." Colby said as I stretched my hand out for him to grab. "How were things here?" He asked. We had talked every day but it was only for short amounts of time, "it was great until like 20 minutes ago." I said with a sigh, "oh no what happened?" He asked and I just laughed, "don't worry about it, we can talk about it later." I said with  a smile, "you sure?" He asked a squeezed my hand, "yeah, it's nothing big I just want to enjoy time together right now." I said and looked over at him for a second.

It's only been a week but I missed him so much, "I missed you." I said quietly. "I missed you too baby girl." He said and kissed my hand.

Sam gagged in the back. "Shut UP Sam." I said with a laugh and looked in the rear view to see him holding his hands up in surrender.

I loved the relationship Sam and I had. He was the brother I never got to have and I was grateful that he was here for me whenever I needed it, but also could make me laugh. "Y'all hungry?" I asked making Colby laugh, "you're such a mom. Yeah, we woke up too late to have breakfast." He said and I pulled off the highway to go to chick fil a. "What do you guys want?" I asked and looked back in the rear view to see Sam making goofy faces at Mia, "nuggets with a dr. Pepper." He said and I nodded, "chicken sandwich with ranch, and a coke." Colby said and I nodded again.

I ordered the food and got myself a frozen coffee before driving the rest of the way home. When we got back to the house Kat came running in and jumped into Sam's arms happily as Colby and I gagged, mocking Sam for gagging at us earlier. "Ah! You guys got chick fil a and didn't get me anything!" Kat pouted and hung onto Sam, "sorry! The boys were hungry I needed to feed them." I said with a laugh and grabbed Colby's hand, then went up the stairs.

Once we were in the bedroom Colby sat on the bed with Mia, "so what happened today?" He asked and bounced Mia making her giggle. "Oh. My mom called me." I said and flopped onto the bed next to him. "Whaaat?" He breathed out with confusion. "Yeah. She yelled at me for not inviting her to the wedding." I said and brought my hands to my eyes, "how did she even find out about the wedding?" He asked and I just rubbed my eyes, "I have no idea. She also found out about Mia." I groaned. "What? How?" He asked and laid back, holding Mia up in the air above him. "She started crying when I was on the phone." I said and took my hands from my face and looked over at him. "I feel bad." I said and frowned,

"what? Why would you feel bad? She walked out of YOUR life Cor. If she wanted to be a part of this she shouldn't have walked out." He said and took my hand, rubbing circles onto it.

I sighed, "she's my mom...I should have at least told her about Mia..I don't want her meeting Mia though, I don't want her to be a part of this." I said and brought my other hand to Mia's back, rubbing it gently. "It's okay, she's not going to be a part of it. She knows now, that's the end of it. Don't worry too much about it." He said as I turned sideways to put my head on his chest, right above where Mia was now laying. "Thank you." I whispered.

"For what?" He asked and kissed my head, "keeping me sane." I breathed out. He chuckled and brought
his arm around my waist, "I love you." He said quietly and I looked up, kissing his jawline, "I love you too." I said and rested my head on his chest again.

We just laid together for a while, I listened to his heartbeat and rubbed Mia's back. I loved our little family so much, and I just couldn't believe I got so lucky.

We eventually ended up falling asleep in this position, all three of us cuddled up.
