One week after the garden incident, Mook was finally able to come back to class, especially after coming to the teachers dorms everyday just to check up on Mook and give him some notes. He was grateful for my attempts to use my magic and heal him, only to have a headache after headache make its way into my head.

When the history teacher said Mook was finally coming back to class, I couldn't help but be excited, baking some chocolate and vanilla cupcakes for his return. The history teacher was pleased to see that I had brought the gift to his first class for everyone to share, taking a chocolate one for himself.

When Mook walked in, the history teacher hugged him, and I couldn't help but laugh at the fatherly embrace, gesturing to the cupcakes after he was done his bone-crushing hug.

"Welcome back, Mook." I said. The male smiled, taking a cupcake and eating it at his seat. Others came into class and also got a cupcake to celebrate Mook's recovery, the students all crowding him with questions. I giggled, knowing how it felt being the center of attention and how it was exhausting.

The day went extremely well, both classes I managed to stay out of my thoughts and stayed attentive to the teachers lessons. Ms. Oh played some music to help us relax as we knitted our red strings into the items we thought to make, but I was still stuck in what to knit, the string now neatly untied and in a ball once more.

"Are you having trouble, (y/n)?" Ms.Oh came over to ask me. I sighed, looking around the class only to see mostly completed peices of clothing.

"I just, have no idea what to make miss." I said to her. She nodded in understanding, grabbing a chair to sit next to me.

"Well remember, it's not what your mind thinks of this, your heart had to make it with the spirit, only then will you be satisfied with what you made." I gave her the most confused look ever. "Close your eyes, and focus on your heart."

I did as told, closing my eyes and letting the two needles rest in my hands as I searched for my hearts desire, which was harder than I thought. I knew I had tons of string, and when my heart showed me a familiar face, I grew warm in embarrassment. That's when my hands began moving on their own, the needles weaving to make something of its desire, and I allowed it, only faltering when Ms. Oh giggled with approval, "Good job."

I wasn't sure how long class went, but as the bell rang, I was so into knitting that I jumped as I felt someone's hand on my shoulder again.

"You dozing off again?" I familiar deep voice asked me. My eyes shot open, and I spotted Mook standing in the other side of the class, then, looking up, I saw Gang Ho with a smirk.

"I was actually getting something done for once." I said as I gently tucked my creation into a basket. One of the yellow spirits flew over and grasped the handle of the basket, flying away after getting a good grip.

"Any idea what your making?" He asked. I noticed Mook from the corner of my eye staring at us, and I couldn't help but wonder what he was thinking.

"Not sure, the teacher told me to just let my heart lead me." I have him the truth, and the answer seemed to satisfy him, for his hand slipped from my shoulder, and I stood up, meeting his eyes.

"It was nice seeing you, Gang Ho." I smiled, waving goodbye to the male. Mook was waiting at the door, making sure I walked past before also looking at Gang Ho.

I'm not sure what kind of exchange the two had, but it seemed it didn't end well, for Mook was quickly following behind me as lunch approached.

"You alright Mook?" I asked him. The male nodded, his sea blue eyes looking into mine.

"Yeah, just a bit overwhelmed with all the work I missed. Its nothing I can't handle though."

"Remember, if you ever want my help, just ask, I'm more than happy too."

Mook just nodded, and that was the end of our conversation, allowing for a comfortable silence to settle between us. After lunch, we had to weigh our soul weights once more, and honestly, I was nervous.

"(y/n)! You're up!" The gym teacher shouted. I hesitantly walked up to the scale, the weight of my soul making my feet heavy. Mook was behind me, and I felt his warm breath on my neck as he whispered something in my ear.

"It's alright, I'm here." I guess he saw though my nervousness, but his words didn't help me control the blush on my face, although it felt like my heart was soaring.

"(y/n), 1.8, good job so far! But keep going." The gym teacher scolded me a bit at the end, but I couldn't believe it, I was actually going to have a chance!

"Mook Lee, 2.2, what a shame...." My heart wrenched, and I immediately spun around to see his face downcasted. As he walked off the scale, eyes were on him and staring with confusion. I knew what they were thinking: how could the top student have this heavy of a soul?

Mook walked past us with a gloomy aura trailing behind. I frowned, surely this was a mistake, right?

The rest of the day went smoothly, and when I finally made it to my bed, I felt the bliss of sleep try and consume me, but first, I wanted to try something.

I closed my eyes, and reached down for that magic lock, still secure on my soul. Then, my heart soared as faces of my friends flashed past my eyes, and that lock was releasing slowly, but it took most of my thought just to try and pry it open. Some magic slipped out, flowing in my veins now. I kept it there, knowing that I may need it for later.
