Zoey P.O.V.

I woke up alone in bed wondering how on earth I was going to fix things with Caleb.

He never came home last night.

But I couldn't really blame him.

He had just found out about my affair with Stewart.

I got out of bed and went into the bathroom.

I washed my face and brushed my teeth.

I walked out of the bathroom and left the bedroom.

I walked into the living room and saw Caleb sleeping peacefully on the couch.

He did come home.

I wonder if he arrived sober or drunk.

Did he get high last night or not?

Did he sleep with Courtney or some other broad before bringing himself home?

I know I had no room to judge but I did have questions.

I left Caleb sleeping on the couch as I went to cook him breakfast.

I do this every morning for him.

It had become our routine.

I got to cooking Caleb's breakfast hoping that him coming home meant he'd be open to talking to me, forgiving me, and moving forward in our relationship.

I ended up cooking Caleb some eggs, bacon, toast, and grits.

As I put everything on a plate for him I noticed he'd woken up.

He was sitting up on the couch with his head in his hands.

"I made you breakfast babe," I said as I put the plate on the kitchen table.

I walked over to Caleb and he didn't make any move to lift his head up.

I felt horrible.

I bent down and tired to move his hands away from his face.

He moved his hands and looked at me.

He looked so sad and disappointed.

I spread his legs and kneeled between them.

I cupped his face in my hands and we sat there just looking at each other in silence.

"I'm sorry," I apologized.

"For what part?" he asked.

"All of it. I should have never found comfort in Stewart. I want you to know I ended things with him. It's over," I said.

"How do you expect me to believe that? You've been lying to me for months!" Caleb said as he pushed my hands off him.

He got up and moved around me.

"Caleb come back! Talk to me," I begged as I got up.

"What do we have to talk about?" he asked as he turned around.

I stood in front of him feeling so small.

"The baby," I said.

"You mean the baby that might be Stewart's!" he said angrily.

"I never meant for things to go this far. I... I... Caleb..." I didn't even know what to say.

I had no words. I couldn't explain myself.
