KimGear this one's for you gurl! Sorry for the wait x

Your POV

Currently, it was 8am. Tuesday. September 6th. Shawn was laying in my arms, and I could feel him shaking in fear. His head moves slightly so it's resting on my chest rather than my shoulder.

Why was he this scared? Well today was the day he would shoot his Mercy video. He would have to face his biggest fear - deep water.

"Y/N I can't do it..." he murmurs, clearly distressed.

"You can do this, it'll be a car in water and if you want to get out there's a button that the director will press and all the water will go. You aren't going to drown, I won't let anything happen to you." I cup his cheeks, reassuring him.

"Shawn its time." Andrew comes in, telling Shawn it was time. "If you need anything, just tell me." I have to say Andrew was a good manager, he actually looked out for Shawn rather than treat him like somebody who is there to make money, like a lot of managers do.

I help Shawn stand and then put my hand on his chest, noticing how fast his heart was beating.

"Your heart is racing." I say as Shawn takes a deep breath. "Don't worry." I try my best to reassure him but I don't think it worked.

"Lets do this." Shawn sighs, putting on his denim jacket.

We go into the production room. There was a swimming pool in which the car was to be gently submerged.

"Right Shawn, you need to get into the car." The director explains, helping Shawn into the car.

"Y/N... where's Y/N?" I could see Shawn frantically looking around, so I run over to him. I lean down, not getting into the water.

"I'm right here." I find his hand and grip it tight. "Can you see that sign over there? I'm standing right over there okay." I caress his cheek, comforting him.

"Okay... I'll be fine." Shawn nods, and I plant a kiss on his cheek before letting him continue his shoot.

"And ACTION!" The director calls and the car begins to lower into the water at a painfully slow speed.

I could see Shawn was incredibly scared. He didn't even need to act; he was terrified.

Worried, I go and stand with Andrew.

"He's okay right?" I question.

"We've given him a safe word. If he says it we will get him out as soon as possible." Andrew explains, patting my shoulder.

"Okay... he's okay." I try to reassure myself, but I felt uneasy.

Shawn and I had this feeling. Almost like a sixth sense. I knew when he was hurting and so did he.

He was in pain.

I then get a glance of his face - he was panicking.

"Get him out!" I yell, running over to him.

"Y/N he hasn't said the safe word..." The director responds but I didn't care. I was getting him out.

"I don't care!" I scream, and the car is raised out. "Come on Shawn, you're okay. I'm getting you out."

I rip the door open of the old car and pull his limp body out, pulling him into my arms.

"Y/N..."

"You're okay honey, you're okay." I whisper into his ear.

"No... I can't breathe..." his breathing rate got quicker, and he was hyperventilating.

"Hey look at me... look at me." I coo, cupping his cheeks. "Deep breaths okay, it'll be over soon."

People then began surrounding us, making Shawn worse.

"Come on, lets take you back there." I help him to his feet, letting him lean on me, as he would've collapsed if not.

I take him into the dressing room at the back, and sit him down on the sofa, pulling him into my lap.

"Deep breaths honey... it's nearly over." I stroke his hair, and his breathing rate goes back to relatively normal. His head falls into my lap, and he puts my hand on his forehead, wanting me to play with his hair. He did this when he was stressed out about something.

"I don't want to do that ever again... please don't make me." He stutters, digging his wet hair into my stomach.

I hold him close to me, giving him the physical comfort he needs.

"I'm never ever going to let them do that to you. Not now, not ever." I assert, kissing hos forehead. "Come on, I'll get you home and make you some nice tea and take care of you."

"Good idea." He stands up but almost falls, probably weak due to the anxiety and stress in him.

"Here, I'll help you."

"Thanks Y/N."

I drive Shawn home and change him out of his wet clothes into something more comfy.

"Better?" I ask, helping him lay in bed and putting a blanket on him.

"I'll be better if you lay beside me." Shawn smirks.

"Do you want some tea?"

"I'm a little tired, but thanks."

I smile and lay beside him, lifting his head onto my chest.

"Get some sleep honey." I plant a kiss on his forehead, but he was already asleep, mentally exhausted from the day's events.
