Hey! Last part to My Story x

1st September 2017 - flight to Toronto - time unknown

Malia's POV

We are on the flight back to Toronto, and Shawn is practically in his mother's lap, sleeping more peacefully than he has done in a long time. Sitting in her lap, his head was resting on Karen's chest, his legs dangled off the side of the seat and her arms were wrapped protectively around her son, whom she hasn't seen in a while. Shawn's eyes flutter open and I smile at him.

"How's my baby feeling?" Karen asks him, moving his hair out of his eyes.

"Tired...just so tired." He replies.

"We can get you some food and then you can sleep my darling. We've got 5 hours of flying yet." Karen softly tells him as I get him the ham sandwich we picked up from the airport. He eats it quickly and I get up to take the rubbish from him. He looks at me dead in the eye and I knew what he wanted - I lean forward and give him a tight hug.

"Go to sleep, you're so tired." I tell him, gently kissing his cheek (in a sisterly way). He looks up at his mum, who ushered for him to come sit closer to her. Shawn climbs back in to his mother's lap and falls asleep in her arms. Jeff then calls Shawn, which wakes him.

"Sorry Jeff. You're fired." Shawn hangs up on him.

"I should've done that a long time ago." Everyone on the plane, including Andrew, laugh.

"Do you want a blanket? You feel cold honey." Karen asks Shawn, who nods. I get a blanket and cover Shawn up with it. Karen puts one arm around his upper back and the other around his neck, taking her hand through his hair and kissing the top of his head.

"You're a proper mummy's boy aren't you." I laugh.

"Proudly." Shawn replies, a weak smile forming on his face.

"Now, my precious boy, don't let anyone wipe that smile off your beautiful face." Karen tells her son, kissing his cheek.

And that's it! X
