Meeting Her Parents

Shawn's POV

I'm meeting Adryanna's parents for the first time today and I'm so nervous. I've been anxious all day about it as I don't want to disappoint.

I go and get ready and put on some jeans and a black tee shirt. I get into my car and anxiously drive to Adryanna's.

Adryanna's POV

I open the door, revealing a very anxious looking Shawn.

"Hey" he says, twiddling his fingers. A sign that he was panicking. I'd told my parents that Shawn has anxiety, and they'd told me that if he looked anxious he didn't have to go through with it.

"Go to my room. I'm coming." I tell him, ushering his upstairs. I go to my mum. "Can we cancel?"

"Of course. We don't want his mental health to suffer." My mum says and I go into my room, where Shawn was having a panic attack.

"Adryanna...I...I can't breathe..." he collapses to his knees and I sit with him, rubbing circles on his back. He digs his head into my chest, seeking comfort. "Deep breaths sweetie." I take my hands through his hair and he calms down. I sit him on my bed and get him to drink some water.

"Thanks" he says, drinking the water as my dad comes in. Shawn gets up but his legs give in as he was still weak.

"You must be Shawn. You're a good kid. Don't worry about tonight, take care of yourself. You're welcome to spend the night." My dad says and leaves. I follow my dad out.

"Seriously?" I say.

"Yeah. The fact that he was so anxious proves to me that this meant a lot to him and so do you." My dad explains and I go back to Shawn.

"Do you want to sleep?" I ask him.

"Yeah. I'm exhausted."

"Well change into something first. You left your sweats here last time." I get Shawn's sweatpants out of the draw and help him put them on. We get into bed together and I let him rest his head on my shoulder as we fall asleep.
