Just Us

The sun set behind the mountains that casted the silhouette behind the couple. The trees danced in the brisk wind and the breeze flowed straight through the blonde's hair.

"Natsu! Where are you taking me?" She giggled.

"If I told you, it wouldn't be a surprise!" He gripped onto her hand tighter.

The blonde didn't know what the heck was coming her way. When it comes to this guy, she doesn't even know anymore. Inside she was worried but she learned to trust her boyfriend at some points in life.

The salamander knew exactly where he was taking her. He was very excited and hoped she would like it. After all, him and Happy took all day to prepare it until it came to this. He prepared the place, the time, everything! Just so it can be perfect with his girlfriend.

He saw the top of the mountain where he soon picked up his speed and ended up heaving her.

"It would be better if you slowed down!" She laughed.

"Oh right!" He looked back. "Don't worry! We're almost there!"

She let out a sigh, not knowing what to do with him and he took her hand. He walked her past the little bushes, through the pathway until he stumbled across the top of which, she eyed in delight.

She saw the most beautiful picnic set ever. A nice orange blanket laid out with a basket, keeping its ground. She gasped with surprise.

"Did you do this?"

"With the help of Happy, Yeah."

They together sat down on the blanket, eyeing out into the sunset as Natsu soon opened the basket, revealing all him and her's favorites. Her eyes filled with delight and looked back at Natsu's.

"Well hurry and dig in before I eat it!"

She jumped like a little kid and of course took out the chocolate covered strawberries where she then took a little nibble and closed her eyes as she smiled with the sweet flavor blasting into her mouth.

"This is amazing!"

"I'm glad you liked it! It was actually really hard to find what you like so I just went to Levy."

"I knew she was hiding something." She snapped under her breath.

Natsu grabbed a spicy chicken sandwich of which he bit into at the same time Lucy bit into her sugary strawberry. They set their eyes onto the sunset as Natsu then pulled Lucy into his lap, still eyeing forward.

The two felt at peace for once as the sky grew darker and soon twinkled.

Lucy couldn't feel any better. It felt her whole world has been turned upside down just by this boy she's met. She eyed behind her to catch eyes with him eating a sandwich, partly into his mouth.

He eyed her with a bit of shock but just bit down and swallowed his piece, still eyeing her as he practically demolished the sandwich.

She giggled at the little scene, seeing this may be the only time he's looked cute when eating unlike the other times.

She wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him into a hug as she then sat on his criss crossed legs, with him hugging her back, while sniffing the vanilla in her.

They then broke apart still lost in each other's gaze as Natsu then plopped a chocolate covered strawberry right into her mouth.

"Hmp!" She widened her eyes as she bit down.

"You're such a cutie."

He then bit down on the other side of the strawberry and started to bite down along with her as they soon made in contact with each other's lips. Cherishing the taste of strawberries.

He placed his arm around her waist as she tangled her fingers in his hair. They kissed passionately but yet gentle.

It felt perfect to each other. Their heart went at a rhythm at the scene and they both were thankful for the moment, for which they did a small French kiss.

Moving their lips in synch, they soon broke apart, just inches from each other's faces. No matter their eye color, it still sparkles with the night for when they pressed their foreheads against each other's.

Natsu soon came up with a tease that he knew for sure Lucy would get incredibly annoyed at which made it so much fun.

"I love you." He smiled.

Right when she was about to reply, he poked her ribs, making her laughters come aloud, begging Natsu to stop the tickling. She kept slapping his arms, but this boy wouldn't forfeit.

"Say it back." He teased.

The young blonde knew that he knew that she loved with all her heart. But he just teases her just to get the word out.

"I- HAHAHHAH I- HAHAHAH I l-l- HAHA! I l-l- HAH-" Just as she laughed between words, she nearly lost balance and fall backwards, but a warm embrace surrounded her but ended up falling on top of her, causing a blush to creep onto their faces.

"You still won't admit it." He smirked.

"I love you too, Natsu Dragneel." She cupped his face and smashed her lips against his as his elbows were aside from her sides.

She raised her neck to keep in synch with him which gave him an advantage and brought his hands under her neck as they moved the settle kiss to a now more passionate kiss and continued to make out like this. Still, cherishing every moment.

"This place is for just us." He broke away.

"Always." She caressed his soft cheek.
