Chapter 41

Taehyung opened the first aid kit and was astonished. “Why is there so much dew water today?”

It was obvious that the surgical knife and watch alone could only help them collect around five hundred grams of water regardless of how humid the place was.

He had to have collected the remaining, drop by drop from the forest.

The two of them went ahead and had a delicious meal of crabs.

However, crabs belonged to the cold variety of food. It wasn’t good to always eat them.

The sun was hot in the day and there was no need for a fire.

Thus, they preserved the tinders carefully.

Jungkook left for the forest to collect some firewood. As they did not have any food reserves, he decided to also look for food.

This time, he headed deeper into the forest.

Taehyung instructed him to be careful before he left. He remained near the shed to collect slim bamboo poles and long leaves.

He used the surgical knife to slice the bamboo thinly. He then attempted to make a basket which they could carry on their backs. With yesterday’s experience, his movements were much smoother.

He even tried to make a pair of straw slippers. He chose a thin and long piece of dried grass and weaved it through the small hole he had left on the sole. He then split the end into two.

He made several attempts based on the video he had seen in the past and finally made a pair of slippers for himself.

His feet were scratched up from all the walking he did and that left jungkook's heart aching dearly.

The first pair of slippers were rather ugly. However, he picked things up quickly and was soon able to make a nicer pair of slippers for jungkook.

He lifted his head towards the sky and guessed that it was past 12:00 in the afternoon.

Why wasn’t jungkook back yet?

He could not help but worry. He regretted not going with him.

However, he did not wish for him to be too tired and insisted that he rest in the shed.

Thus, he could only mess with these things.

Although they agreed he would return with food, he could not sit and wait.

He brought jungkook's shirt and the basket he had made to the beach which was around a kilometer away. As he approached the rock mountain, this time, he did not search for crabs. Instead, he submerged the basket into the water. There were groups of small fish swimming there.

However, each one of them was only the size of a finger.

He had been eyeing these fish for a while.

He placed some of the raw crab meat from earlier into the basket as bait. Very quickly, a large group of fish swam into the basket. He then lifted the basket out of the water with one smooth movement.

As the water drained out of the basket, countless small fishes were left wriggling in it. He then poured the fish into the shirt.

He repeated this several times until the shirt was filled up. He was lucky enough to also catch several big fishes.

He then searched through the rocks and caught two more crabs before returning.

He took a few steps and paused to look at the rock cliff at the end of the beach. It was around twenty meters tall and was naturally formed with large rocks. It was possible to climb a cliff like that.
