"Halmeoni," Sunny smiles.

The older woman slowly turns towards Sunny before smiling widely.

"Sunny," she said softly and slowly.

Sunny smiled with a nod before taking the old woman's hand.

"It's been so long since you came here," the woman said while gently squeezing Sunny's hand.

"Halmeoni, remember I got married?" Sunny said.

"Have you gotten married? Did you invite me?" the woman said.

Sunny smiles blandly.

"I got married and divorced two years ago," Sunny told the woman.

"Did you get married to Sunwoo? I wonder what your children looked like? Sunwoo comes here now and then. But when I asked him about you, he told me he doesn't know where you were," the old woman said.

Sunny exhaled, "I'm sorry. I left for so long."

"Are you going to be here for a long time? You can stay here in my apartment," the old woman said.

Sunny shook her head, "Not this time, halmeoni. I am going back tomorrow. I'm going to marry a prince. I'll be living in Malaysia already. It's gonna be a long time before I come back here."

The woman looked at Sunny and smiled.

"Sunny? You're Sunny!" The woman said with excitement in her voice.

She stares at the old eyes. Weak and saggy eyes.

"Sunny, it's been so long! I miss you a lot," the woman said.

Sunny smiles before getting up to talk with the woman's grandchildren.

"I"m sorry you have to see her in this condition," the grandson said.

Sunny shook her head and exhaled, "I can understand. My great-grandmother has dementia too. So, I'm used to it. People forgetting."

"How have you been?" he asked.

A pot of tea was placed on the table where Sunny was sitting.

"I'm good," Sunny smiles.

"Are you marrying a prince?" the granddaughter asked.

Sunny nodded, "Yes. In a few months. But the wedding will be small and private."

They nodded, "Understandable."

"Is halmeoni healthy? How did all the doctor's appointments go?" Sunny asked.

They smiled and nodded, "Everything is good. The doctor tells halmeoni to rest well. Don't be too stressed out. Always walk around. Be careful not to fall."

Sunny smiled and nodded, "That's good, then. Oh, I have something for you."

She took out a big white envelope from her handbag and handed it to the two grandchildren in front of her. The grandson took it and asked what it was.

"It's a gift from me to your family," Sunny said.

When they took out the envelope, they were beyond shocked.

"Sunny, we can't accept these. These are too much," the grandson said as he put the envelope back on the table and pushed it near Sunny.

Sunny shook her head, "Don't give it back to me. It's yours."

A lifetime free medical treatment for their grandmother and a document that says an apartment bought with cash and the store they are in. Sunny paid it all.

"You bought this place for real?" The granddaughter asked.

Sunny nodded, "It's yours. Wholly. Continue your grandmother's business. This is a place of hope and love, and kindness. Your grandmother was the one who fed me. Who took care of me when I first came to Seoul."

"Halmeoni is my grandmother too. She took care of me a lot. Always. She has the kindest heart and played a big role in making me who I am today."

"Thank you so much, Sunny. You've done a lot for our family. You took us all to work at Shangri-La when we were all laid off," the grandson said.

Sunny smiles, "That's not a problem. I am happy now you all are getting stable."

"Annyeonghaseyo!"

All three of them turned towards the voice.

Sunny was surprised to see Sunwoo entering the store that she stood up and froze.

"Oh, Sunwoo!" The grandson said.

When Sunwoo saw Sunny, he froze. For a long time.

"How long has it been since you got discharged from the military?" I asked.

"Six months? Yeah, around six months," he replied.

I nodded, "You're back to performing?"

He shook his head, "Hiatus. Waiting for all the members to come. In the meantime, solo activities."

"I see. I haven't been active on the internet for a long time," I exhaled.

"I know. You're silent and private. What happened after all the divorce?" he asked.

"I reutrn to Kota Kinabalu. I went travelling alone. To ease my mind from all the stress and tension. Also, doing therapy. After recovering, return to KK and start working."

"You're free from cancer already?" he asked.

I nod, "Yes."

"Where did you get treatment for your cancer?" he asks.

"London. The best place to get cancer treatment in the world," I told him.

He nodded, "Good for you. How old is your son?"

I looked at him, "Six. If I'm not mistaken. Yeah, he's six."

"So what are you doing now? Why suddenly come to Seoul?" he asks.

"Well, RM of BTS requested that I write a song with him and sing a song with him. I agreed and came over here. Also, to meet a few friends, catch up and visit halmeoni. Have you been frequently visiting halmeoni?" I asked him.

He nodded, "After I was discharged from the military, I came here a lot. Weekend, I'm with them."

I nodded, "Sorry. I couldn't be there."

He shook his head, "No worries. I can handle it. When are you returning to KK?"

"Tomorrow afternoon, actually," I said.

"Where's your son, though?"

"He's at his grandmother's place. He'll be staying there for a few weeks since it's a holiday in Sabah now. Long holiday," I told him.

He nodded, "I see."

Without realizing it, we talked for hours. I didn't realize it at all.
