[2028] A Birthday Surprise

I hissed and pushed his hands away, "Don't do that to me." 

He chuckled and kissed my forehead, "I love you. Now get up and shower. Put on your best clothes. We're having a few people coming over for your birthday breakfast." 

"Are you serious?" I asked him while he was walking towards the door. 

"Yeah," he nodded and smiled before leaving our bedroom. 

I chuckled and shook my head. I got up from bed and went straight for the bathroom.  I took shower and get ready just like I was getting ready to go out. 

I walked out of my bedroom and walked into the living room area. I was surprised upon seeing the dining table filled with food that I love. Most of them are breakfast food. 

But it feels like I'm at a hotel because all the types of breakfast dishes I love were on the dining table. I'm more of a western style of breakfast. Scramble eggs, waffles, pancakes, toast, tea, hot chocolate, cereals, and a lot more. 

"Good morning, Sunny," I heard mom's voice. 

I turned and smiled, "When did you guys come here? I was so surprised when Mark told me you guys are here." 

With a grin, she placed the plates for pancakes and waffles on the table.

"We arrived yesterday. Came here this morning," she said while she was approaching me. 

"Aw, that's so sweet of you to come here," I hug her tightly. 

"You're welcome," she said in a boasting tone. 

I scoffed and let go of our hug. 

She laughed, "Happy birthday, Sunny. You're 26-"

"Nope! Don't. Please. I'm like halfway to 50 years old," I stopped her. 

She laughed.

"Where's eomma?" I asked her. 

"In the kitchen," she replied. 

"What about Adrian? Jasmine?" I asked mom. 

"They all went out for a while," she answered as we walk towards the kitchen. 

I greeted Mark's mother and thanked her for coming over for breakfast and helping to do all the breakfast food. All the food smells very good and I just can't wait to eat. 

"What's in there?" I asked while pointing at the oven. 

Eomma smiles, "Guess." 

I look into the oven and gasped, "No way!" 

Eomma and mom laughed. 

"Muffins?" I asked. 

"Yeah, that is muffins," eomma said. 

"Oh my God! No wonder it smells really familiar!" I exclaimed before hugging eomma. 

"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" I said. 

"Eomma knows that you love chocolate muffins a lot. So, why not?" Mom said. 

I pouted while squatting, looking into the oven. 

"Sunny?" I heard a voice calling me. 

I looked towards the voice and gasped, "Ningning!" 

She laughed and pointed at me, "Happy birthday!" 

I laughed and walk to her and gave her a hug. 

"What about me?" I heard Yuna's voice. 

"Come here, girl," I pulled her into a hug. 

"Aww, you girls are so cute," Mom said. 

I grinned, "Our PANDORA charms." 

"You're already 26 years old! Can you believe it!?" Ningning said. 

I gasped and looked at her, "Did you just..."

The others laughed.

Ningning raised her eyebrows, "Oops?" She shrugged her shoulders. 

I rolled my eyes, "I was gonna try to stop people from saying my age number right now but it doesn't work." 

"She did it to me though," Mark said. 

I chuckled. 

"Sunny! Where are you?" I heard Yu-jin's voice. 

I looked over Yuna and Ningning's shoulders. Hyun-woo ran towards the door and I heard him shouting excitedly.

"Uncle Johnny!" 

"Mommy! Uncle Yuta and Uncle Jaehyun are here too! Daddy's friends are here!" 

I raised my eyebrows, "Wow. We do have a lot of guests for breakfast. Now I understand why the portion of food was over from what I expected." 

"It's your day. Spend this time with people you love," Yuna said. 

"Uncle Adrian! Hi Sarah!" I heard Hyun-woo greeting Adrian and also Sarah, Adrian and Jasmine's daughter. 

"Aunt Adelia!" 

"Mommy! There are so many people!" 

I laughed hearing Hyun-woo's excitement and seeing a lot of people coming into our house today. 

"He's more excited than any other kid I've ever seen," Ningning said. 

I chuckled and nodded, "He's so cute and sweet. I love him so much."

"Of course you love him." 

"Come on, everyone! Let's start eating!" Mom said while bringing out two plates of whole roasted chicken as my jaw dropped. 

"Wow! That's a big chicken, grandma!" Hyun-woo said. 

I just chuckled.
