Chapter 10

No one POV

Back in the Duke Gray's Mansion

Alec along with Lily went to his office to discuss the cause of her behavior.

Ayton was mad at the situation. Thanks to all of this drama none of them would spend the day with their sister. But that is okay because he would be crashing down into Ian's later at night. He had gone to his room to prepare for his mission. Packing for what he would need which includes some clothes, pajamas, his toothbrush, and some shoes.

"Hey, what are you doing?" Parker came into Ayton's room. Ayton looks back at his brother before saying, "I'm going to crash at Ian's later tonight." Parker couldn't help but ask," Can I come too? And before you say anything I know this is my fault, but please I would like to apologize." He finishes with a pout. "Fine, but don't tell anyone."

Running to his room, he takes a small bag from his closet and shoves clothes in there. After finishing his bag he hides it under his bed.

All of the brothers were calm and relaxed in their rooms till yelling was heard from downstairs. Dallas was the first to get out of his room and go downstairs. The yelling was coming from his dad's office. As the boys gather they couldn't help but listen to the arguing.

"Why are you acting like this?" Alec frustrated asks his wife. "Why maybe because it's all about her now. She became an ungrateful brat. How does she think it's alright to stay in her room all day. She doesn't want to eat. Her room that we're going make that she is supposed to stay in, No she wants the guestroom."

Inside the office room

Both of them looking at each not knowing what to say next. Alec was stress, angry, and sad that his wife is not happy with his only girl. The missing piece of his heart, that now is here.

If Lily was not going to fight for Eva to have a life with them. Then he will. He will fight for his little Eva, with or without Lily. "Why can't she just stay with Ian?"

"Why? What did she do you, Lily? Why do you act as if you hate her or something?"

"Do you know what it's like to see her? After all of those years of wanting her to be in my arms. Yet, it hurts that I wasn't there and it's my fault. You don't know what I'm feeling right now. And you are choosing her over me? I'm your wife. I stood with you over years, supporting you. But you seem to support her, we don't even know her." Lily told her husband all furious. It's killing her to keep the secret that can ruin her life. She knows that if she tells Alec the truth about all of this he will and can kill her.

Alec couldn't hold back his anger that he wants to unleash. "If you don't want to stay here. Then leave because Evangeline will not be moving anywhere. So get your bags and leave. You better be glad that the boys will not know of this."

He could not stay here any longer. He started to make his way out of his office. With a frustrated Lily.

Outside the office

Hearing those words from each of their parents broke their hearts. Knowing that their father wouldn't have told them so they wouldn't be mad at their mother. Their mother on the other side was beyond upset.

The Parker and Ayton ran out when they heard their father's footsteps. Dallas stayed to wait for his father. He couldn't imagine the pain that his father is feeling right now. What would they be saying before they started to hear? Whatever it was it must not be good to hear.

When the doors open Dallas did not wait for a second, he embraces his father in a hug. "It's going to be alright, dad. I'm with you." Alec held his son, closing his eyes in hope that the tears he wants to shed will not fall.

"Dallas?" Lily said to her son at the sight of him hugging his father. Dallas lifted his face and took a glance at his mom. Taking his father by the shoulder guiding him to the kitchen. Setting some coffee for his father to take, he made his way back to his mother.

"You heard father, mother, take your bags if you don't want to see Eva around here. I along with my father will fight for this family no matter what." With that, he left back to the kitchen to be there for his father.

Lily stood there unable to move. He want me out of my home?

Upstairs Parker couldn't hold his tears. This is all my fault. He thought. Ayton went to hug his younger brother. "Let's go, dad needs us as much as we need them. Later we can all go to Ian's." Paker nodded before dragging himself out of Ayton's room to Dallas and his father.

Alec couldn't comprehend what is happening. But once he looks up to his younger son, he stood from his seat to him. Hugging him as he rests his chin on Parker's head. "I'm so sorry dad. It's all my fault that you and mom fought and that Eva left again."

"It's not your fault never it was and will be. Your mom has been acting up with Eva the minute she took a step in this house. Okay," Alec said making his son nodded. "How about we go and surprise Eva and Ian." He said. "I and Parker were planning in leaving tonight to crash at them." Ayton explains to his father.

"How about we all stay with them tonight?"

"Yeah!"

"Let's go"

"I would love to."

With that, each of them went to their rooms to get their bags and pack. About the time they made it outside Ian's house it was dark.

Parker said frustrated, "We can't get in. He only has the remote to open his stupid gates." However, Alec was holding up a remote just like Ian's, which makes the boys smirk. Opening the gates he parks his car making their way out. Once they were at the door of the house they could hear laughter.

Jealous. That's what they felt. How can they have fun without them? The Duke Gray boys thought. Ayton moves his father out his way before kicking the door open. Making two heads from the couch jerk their head toward them.
