"(Y/N)!" I hear Gabe shout for me from downstairs.

"What?" I yell back, peeking my head out of the doorway.

"Come down here, I have something for you!" He shouts once again. I walk down the stairs and into the living room where Gabe sits on the couch with a small box in his hand.

As I walk into the room I see the box and stop walking immediately.

"What is that?" I say pointing to the black box.

"Come here and open it." He says and pats the spot next to him on the couch.

I walk over hesitantly and sit down. He gives me the box and watches me, examining my reaction to when I reveal what is in the box.

"Okay. No. Seriously, what is in here?" I ask again. He simply laughs and tells me to look inside.

"It's an early Valentines Day gift." He states and I look at him confused.

"It's not even February yet, so it's an early early Valentines Day gift." He contiues to look at me.

"Gabe, you didn't have to do this. Really." I speak once again.

" If you don't open the damn box, I swear I'll-"

"Okay! Okay! I'll open it, geez!" I say and take the top off of the box reluctantly.

I really can't believe that he wants to spend the rest of his life with me. I can't wait for him to be my forever.

My eyes go wide as I lift up the box lid.

Diamond earrings.

I look over at him as he looks at me smirking.

"GABE! WHAT THE HELL?" I say and slap his arm. He laughs at me.

"Why are you upset? What did you think it was?" He asks, already knowing the answer.

"Just shut up--nevermind." I say and thank him for the earrings. It must have gotten to him, because he asks me again.

"No, really. What did you think it was?"

"It's stupid, nevermind." I say and look at myself in the bathroom mirror, admiring my new diamond earrings.

"Did you think it was a ring?" He asks and I stay silent, embarrassed to answer. I walk out of the bathroom and back into the bedroom.

"(Y/N), you can tell me. It's fine." He says and I feel my cheeks burn red.

"Okay, fine. Yes, I thought it was a ring! Alright? I feel so stupid about it, so just make fun of me now." I say and sit down on the bed, burying my face into my hands.

I feel the bed sink as he sits down next to me.

"Why would I make fun of you? It's perfectly fine that you thought that, but that's just not what it was." He says and puts his arm around me.

He tries to pull my hands away from my face, so I just hug him and bury my face into his neck, still trying to hide my embarassment.

"You just have to be patient when it comes to those things. I'm not saying it won't happen, but just not right now." He tells me and kisses me on the forehead.

"Okay."
