"He did it again!" I cry out in pain, the damage has already been done.

"Tell me everything." Jason grits his teeth, knowing exactly what I'm about to say.

"He cheated on me with some random girl he met at the bar last night!" I couldn't think that my sobs could have become any louder until the words flow out of my mouth. It happened. He did it again.

Although I'm not in any physical pain, maybe some chest pain from my hysterical cries, I feel as if my heart has been ripped out of my chest. "He promised me," I breathe in deeply, but quickly. "He promised me, Jason!"

The tears flow from my eyes and down to dissolve onto Jason's shirt as he comforts me, his hand moving up and down my back in a soothing motion.

He stays silent, probably upset with me and my naïvety. He speaks up after a few moments, the harshness of his tone almost shooting daggers at my already shredded heart.

"You told me that you wouldn't go back to him!" He clenches his hands into fists, his arms still around me. "I'm always here for you when this idiot screws up. I'm sick and tired of this!"

"You're sick and tired of this? How do you think that I feel? What if you had a girlfriend that did this to you? What if you felt this pain?" I spit back at him, leaning up from his chest.

"I do feel pain, (Y/N). I feel the same amount of pain as you do."

"What are you talking ab-"

"Whenever he hurts you, and you come to me in tears, it hurts me! I hate seeing you cry." He takes a moment to stop talking and place his fingers on the bridge of his nose, obviously frustrated. "When you're hurting, then I'm hurting."

I stare at him in disbelief, the tears still falling from my eyes. My cries have stopped as I try to comprehend what he meant.

"What?"

He stares down at me, looking into my eyes.

"I love you, (Y/N)." He chuckles. "I can't believe that I'm finally telling you." He places his head into his hands.

I reach up and pull his hands down from his face, wanting to hear more of what he has to say.

"You... l-love me?"

"A lot." He tells me. I smile at him, happy that he told me exactly what he's feeling.

"Why didn't you just tell me?"

"I was afraid that you would tell me that you didn't feel the same way. Then if you didn't like me, things would be awkward between us." He explains.

I smile even bigger at his insecurity.

"I feel the same way, Jason." I place my hand on the side of his face and turn it towards me, pulling his lips down to mine.

He smiles into the kiss as he tries to pull me closer, if even possible.

"Now will you leave your jerk of a boyfriend?" He laughs against my lips.

"Jason, I already broke up with him."

"What? Wait, why?" He shakes his head in disbelief and pulls away from me.

"I was going to tell you that I loved you, just like you had done, but he just hurt me so badly that I couldn't stop crying to catch my breath."

He flashes me a smile, wrapping his arms around my waist and pulling me into a hug.

"Don't worry, I'll take good care of you." He kisses the top of my head.

"I know you will."
