"You set me up on a blind date?" I half scream at my brother, Andrew Shaw.

"Well what was I supposed to do? Chaunette and I are going go-karting and out to dinner, you invited yourself, and I didn't want you to be the third wheel."

I put my head into my hands and sigh. I can't believe him.

"I would have much rather you disinvite me from your date than have you set me up with some guy I don't know!" I yell at him but he smirks mischievously.

"What?" I ask him.

"This is the part where you thank me for being the best brother ever." He says and it worries me further.

"Andrew, what the hell did you do?"

"Well, you actually do know the guy." He teases and I plead for more information. "Because he's one of my teammates." He tests and I almost explode.

"Andrew! That makes it ten times more awkward! Which one did you set me up with?" I ask and he shakes his head.

"Trust me, he's a great guy. I just can't tell you. It'll be a surprise."

I groan, but start to get ready anyways. I know I'll be forced to go on this date.

Once ready, Andrew and I pick up his girlfriend as I anxiously await the mystery man waiting for me at the go-kart track.

Once we arrive, I think I see him in the distance. He's quite tall and has dark hair.

As we get closer, I realize it's Corey.

"Corey, you know my sister, (Y/N)." He introduces us and we greet each other with an awkward hug.

We make small talk in the line for the go-karts, and he's actually really funny.

"I'm gonna beat you so badly." I taunt him and he laughs.

"In your dreams, I'm a pro."

"We'll see about that." I tell him.

"Let's make a bet then, if you don't believe me." He suggests.

"Fine, what do I get when I win?"

"When I win, you'll pay for my ice cream when we go to get some after dinner."

"Well, when I win, you'll pay for mine. Right?" I ask, just to be sure.

"Sure, but that won't happen." He taunts as we get into the karts.

I take off quickly and beat Corey around the first lap, but he soon takes over for the majority of the race. I begin to become nervous as I notice I'm falling behind, Andrew almost overtaking me.

I step on the pedal and begin to move a lot faster. It's our last lap and I come around the corner, inches close to Corey.

One last corner before we have to pull back in to park the karts.

With one swift movement, I turn the corner around Corey and pass him.

"I win!" I cheer from the go-kart as we come to a slow stop.

We all get out and get into the car.

"So, it looks like you have to buy my ice cream." I tell Corey and he smiles.

"That's alright, I would be honored to buy your ice cream." We both laugh.

That night began something so special that turned into forever. I can never thank my brother enough for my eternity.
