My hand grips tighter on my father's arm, my nerves beginning to take over. In just a few moments, the doors will open to reveal my future husband. The doors will open to my new life and my forever love. Shivers are sent down my spine as my father asks if I'm ready to walk down the aisle. I slowly nod my head, my knees are weak and I doubt if I could even make it down the aisle.

Before I can prepare myself enough, the doors swing open slowly and my eyes wander around the room. They stop once I see Johnny. He's dressed in a black tux, his hair gelled and eyes watery. Then it hits me... this man that I've loved for so long is now going to be my husband.

My father and I make it to the end of the aisle, my father giving me away to Johnny. Tears spill from my eyes, half joy and half fear. The priest begins to speak, but I can't focus on his words because I can't seem to take my eyes off of him.

"You look beautiful." He whispers and gives both my hands a slight squeeze.

"Thank you. I love you." He lifts his thumb to my cheek and wipes a falling teardrop.

"I love you too."

We say our vows and exchange our rings, both of us shedding tears throughout the entire ceremony. After the ceremony, the reception started and everyone was having a great time.

We sat at a table on the stage, watching everyone mingle and dance. Johnny places a hand on my thigh.

"I really want to just leave with you right now." He says into my ear.

"We can't just get up and leave, it's our reception!" He laughs and gives me a peck on the cheek.

"That's exactly the reason why we can leave." I roll my eyes at his words.

"You're crazy, you know that?" I ask him and take his hand into mine.

"Yes, but that's why you married me."

"I just married you because of your looks." I joke towards him, but my tone is serious. His mouth drops in disbelief and I smile to myself.

"No, you didn't." He says, trying to make himself believe that it isn't true.

"You're right. I married you because you're sweet, funny, caring, and you really understand me." I squeeze his hand a little tighter, "Your looks are just a plus." I smile and he does the same, kissing me on the lips.

He stands up and takes a microphone off the table, proposing a toast.

"I would like to make a toast," He begins and I look up at him, curious to see what he's going to say. "To my beautiful wife, (Y/N)." He turns towards me and raises his champagne glass in my direction. "Without you, I wouldn't be anywhere close to where I am today. So, I wanted to thank you for everything that you've done for me and what you will continue to do for me in our future together. You're so intelligent, funny, and beautiful. It's an honor to call you Mrs. Johnny Gaudreau. I love you, (Y/N)."

Tears spill from my eyes for what feels like the hundredth time today, but I don't care about anything other than Johnny. He has always been there for me and now it's my turn to always be there for him. Through thick and thin.

He sits down next to me and I pull his face to mine, smashing my lips onto his.

"That was beautiful."

"Not as beautiful as you." I laugh and kiss him once more.

"Stop being so cheesy." He flashes me a smile and I take his hand, standing from the table. "Come on, let's go Gaudreau."
