I lay in bed, watching TV while waiting for Corey to get home. They lost tonight, so I know that he won't be the happiest. It's always hard to see the frustration in his face after a tough loss.

After awhile I hear the door open and then slam abruptly. He hasn't been doing so well, so I know that it will be worse tonight than any other night.

"Corey?" I ask, making sure he's okay.

"What?" He snaps back at me.

"Come here." I say and I hear his footsteps coming into our room.

He lays next to me, putting the blanket over us both. I try to look at him, but his eyes never meet mine.

I put my arms around him and kiss his cheek, knowing he doesn't want to talk about it.

"I'll be right back." I say and walk into the kitchen, grabbing the plate of chocolate chip cookies that I made him.

I walk back into the room and put the plate between us.

"I made your favorite." I say and smile.

I see his face slightly lighten up, not feeling so down anymore.

"Thanks, (Y/N). But maybe later." He says and takes the plate to put it on the bedside table.

"Just stay here and hug me." He says sweetly and wraps his arms around me.

I rest my head on his chest and he gives me a kiss on my forehead. After awhile of silence, I look up at him.

"It will get better. I promise." I tell him.

"Yeah, I know. It's just frustrating." He replies and looks down at me. I press my lips to his.

"We should do something tomorrow night." He suggests.

"That sounds good to me." I say and look at him, his eyes slowly starting to close from the long night.

"Corey." I say.

He looks at me.

"I love you." I say to him before pressing my lips onto him again.

"I love you too, (Y/N)." He mumbles as we both slowly drift off to sleep.
