I slam the door in front of Max's face. He's the last person I want to see right now.

We just got into a fight because he accused me of looking at some guy at the restaurant we ate dinner at. We started yelling at each other and it got really bad really fast.

I walked out of the restaurant halfway through dinner because he wouldn't stop bringing it up. We didn't speak to each other on the drive home.

I can't believe he would even think that I would be looking at another guy. We've been dating for almost two years now, he should know me pretty well.

"(Y/N), please just open the door." Max says from the other side of the door.

"No, Max. Go away!" Tears stream down my face as I cover myself in the blankets on our bed. My voice doesn't hide the fact that I'm crying.

Max hates it when I cry. No matter what I'm crying about, he always makes me feel better. But since he's the one that hurt me, I don't know if he can do that.

"(Y/N), if you're not going to open the door then I'll just wait here until you do." He says.

I hear him sit down and lean against the door. I roll my eyes and try to go to sleep.

I wake up and glance at the clock.

2:32 a.m.

I wonder where Max is? I get up and go to open the door. When I do, Max falls backwards and jolts awake.

"Max! What the hell are you doing?"

He flutters his eyes open and looks around, confused at where he is.

"I was waiting for you to open the door."

"For five hours?" I ask him.

"Yeah, I guess." He looks up at me and I feel absolutely terrible.

"Come on." I help him on his feet and tell him to go to sleep.

"I'm sorry, (Y/N)." He apologizes to me once we're both lying down. "I shouldn't have thought that way. You've never done anything wrong."

"Hey," I move closer to him and hug him, bringing him closer to me. "I forgive you. And I'm sure there will be moments where I'll do the same thing." I smile and give him a kiss on the cheek.

"I don't deserve you, (Y/N)." He says. "You're the best thing that has ever happened to me." His eyes start to close and I know those are the last words he'll say until he wakes up in the morning.

"I love you, Max." I place a kiss on his forehead and close my eyes as I drift to sleep.
