"Oh my gosh, Johnny was looking at you!" My friend shouts before covering her mouth with her hand in disbelief.

We both decided to meet up at a Flames game since we haven't seen one another in such a long time. She continues looking at Johnny as he skates to the other side of the ice.

"(Y/F/N), it's only warmups. I'm sure he's looking for his parents or something." I brush off the thought of him looking at me. That would never happen.

"I'm telling you that he looked at you, but fine. Don't believe me." She rolls her eyes at me.

I keep a close eye on Johnny for the rest of warmups. He skates right past us, his eyes locking with mine. He gives me a wink before skating off to go into the locker room.

I gasp and my friend jerks her head to look at me.

"I told you!" She screams in frustration.

Now I'm the one covering my mouth in surprise.

The game begins and first period ends in the blink of an eye. It's tied 1-1. Then the second period ends and it's tied again at 2-2. Third period starts... then ends. Still tied.

"Are you ready for overtime?" My friend says excitedly as she comes back from the bathroom.

"Ready as I'll ever be." I sigh and sink into my seat.

The horn sounds and all the players come back onto the ice. I take a deep breath and overtime begins.

Johnny comes up the ice with the puck, skating around the back of the net, and shoots it...

The arena goes wild and the Flames have beaten the Stars in overtime.

"I can't believe we won!" My friend and I jump up and down, screaming with the rest of the arena.

Before Johnny skates to the bench he turns around and shakes his glove at me. I read his lips as they say, "That one was for you!"

I smile and scream louder along with my friend. He skates to the bench and back into the locker room. We wait in our seats for the crowd to clear out when a security guard comes up to me.

"Please follow me." He says before retreating up the stairs.

I look at my friend and shrug, standing to follow him. We walk for awhile before we both realize that he's taking us to the locker room.

Once we turn the corner I see Johnny standing there right outside the door. The security guard presents us and walks away, leaving us in silence.

"Hi." I smile shyly at him.

"Hey, I'm Johnny." He introduces himself and I shake my head.

"Yeah, I know. I'm a big fan. I'm (Y/N) and this is my friend (Y/F/N)." I laugh and notice that he's holding a puck.

He sees me staring and gestures towards it, "Oh, uh..." He hands me the puck. "This is for you. You kind of, um..." He pauses, reaching to rub the back of his neck. "Were the motivation for this overtime goal." He flushes and smiles sheepishly.

"Thank you. Wow." I take the puck and look back up at him.

"Text me sometime." He smiles and escapes into the locker room.

I look at my friend confusedly, unsure of how I would text him if I don't have his number.

My friend's jaw drops as she flips the puck over.

"It's his number!" She gasps and looks at me with wide eyes.

"Oh my..." I feel as if I may faint.

"Johnny Gaudreau just gave you his number!"

We walk out of the arena in pure shock. Who would have ever guessed that five years later I would call myself Mrs. Johnny Gaudreau.
