138. Draw

(Y/n) liked a lot of things. One thing she especially liked was watching the ink slowly appear on her skin. In this world, soulmates existed and whenever you drew something on your skin, it would appear on your soulmate's as well. It was easy, simple, and usually not harmful. Unless you drew a di*k or erotica. Then, you might suffer from embarrassment.

Thankfully, (Y/n) didn't do that sort of thing and neither did her soulmate. She wasn't always one to draw much but from time to time, she would doodle something on her hand. Her soulmate was a different story.

Every now and then, a new superhero movie would come out, or a new comic book. (Y/n) watched a couple but one common trend that she noticed, was that whenever there was a new superhero, her soulmate would doodle them. The shaky ink would appear on her skin and become the superhero. The drawings may not have always been the best, but her soulmate seemed to love them.

(Y/n) had taken the pleasure to name the drawings when they appeared. Usually, her soulmate would reply with a "correct!" or "incorrect!" with a smiley face or frowning face accompanying it. She decided a long time ago that her soulmate was simply, precious. He always ended up drawing various heroes.

She had asked once who his favourite hero was. His response was varied, to say the least.

It's so mean of you to make me chose :(

He had written. (Y/n) laughed to herself and wrote back a simple sorry. Though he tended to have a hard time picking through favourites, there were a few that he clearly liked more than others. Rather often, her soulmate would ask if she had seen the new movies, to which she would answer no more often than not.

Her soulmate was unsurprisingly quick when it came to seeing the premiere of movies.

At some point, she was so used to having the doodles on her skin, she was almost disappointed when they started becoming less frequent. She understood why, with school and all but she rather liked them. Though, sometimes there would still be miscellaneous drawings.

Despite how much (Y/n) and her soulmate interacted, they had never met. It was almost surprising given how open they were. Yet, despite that, (Y/n) could probably count on one hand what personal facts she knew about her soulmate, excluding how much he loved superheroes. Her soulmate's name was Alfred, he had 3 brothers, he had blond hair and blue eyes, he loved fast food and freedom.

Recently, he had begun rambling about a new superhero movie that was coming out. (Y/n) could tell it was on his mind with how many doodles of the character on the movie poster were appearing. She knew he would probably go and see the movie as soon as he could. So, it was then when she decided to take her chances and she bought a movie ticket to see the movie.

It would be highly unlikely she would end up meeting Alfred but, there was always a chance, wasn't there?

That was how (Y/n) found herself in the movie theatre's arcade. She had time to spare before the movie would begin so she was playing a few games. Her movie ticket was in her pocket. On her hand was a small doodle of the superhero of the movie she was going to watch that Alfred had drawn.

Some time through the fifth round or so of the game, (Y/n) took notice of a man who was also in the arcade. He looked to be around her age with blond hair and bright blue eyes hidden behind glasses. There was a grin that never left his face as he played a game.

(Y/n) sighed as she completed the last round. She stretched and checked the time. 15 minutes until the movie began.

"Hey!" the man she had seen earlier said. "Are you going to see the new superhero movie too?"

She could see his eyes were drawn to the drawing on her hand so she nodded. "Yup. How about you?"

"I'm watching it too." His eyes twinkled. "I just love superheroes, you know?"

"Nice." (Y/n) held her hand out for a handshake. "I'm (Y/n)."

He took her hand. "Alfred."

She had paused for a moment. His name was Alfred, he had blond hair and blue eyes, he loved superheroes, he was going to see the new superhero movie today... To double-check, she looked at his hand. Sure enough, an exact copy of the drawing on her hand was also on his.

"Soulmate?!" she gasped.

Alfred laughed and nodded excitedly. "Took you long enough, soulmate!"

(Y/n) smiled widely.

End!
