Sequel to "Strange" for the requester. I'm sorry but I have a limit for sequels. This will be the last one for this timeline.

Theme:

56. Gone

(Y/n) couldn't sleep that night.

Thoughts swirled around her head as she laid flat on her bed. Who were these people she met? Why don't they have soulmates? What will they do to her? She raised her arm above her head and glared at her wrist. If only she had a timer, if only she had a soulmate, she wouldn't be in this position.

She sighed and let her arm fall beside her silently. She had already texted Kiku about when they should meet up to talk about the... situation. She shut her eyelids and sighed once again. Hopefully, the conversation won't go too badly.

~~~
(Y/n) hesitated before knocking on the door. She stared at her phone which shone brightly and had an address on it that Kiku texted her. She checked over it once, then twice before she finally knocked on the door. The door opened quickly and a head poked out.
It wasn't Kiku.
Instead, it was a different male with long dark brown hair tied in a ponytail and dark amber-brown eyes. He looked distinctly Asian and he didn't have a red string attached to his pinkie.
"Who are you, aru?" he asked questioningly.
"Um, I'm (Y/n). I'm here to see Kiku... I am in the right place, right?" (Y/n) nervously fiddled with her wrist where her soulmate clock should have been.
His eyes lightened up with recognition, "Ah, you're the girl Kiku was talking about who had no soulmate, aru."
She winced a little at the sudden reminder that she had no one who was intended for her, "Y-yeah."
"Come in, aru," he said, "We've been expecting you."
She smiled apprehensively and walked in. Inside were multiple other people sitting on the couch, she only recognized Kiku. Everyone else was all strangers. She hoped she would get an explanation as to why Kiku wanted to meet her and about all of their missing red strings. But really, sometimes she just wished she was gone and away from people.
~~~

(Y/n) decided right here and now she hated when she got explanations. Often times, they were never what she wanted. This was one of those times.

The people gathered where Kiku was were kind of his siblings and they all didn't have red strings that indicated soulmates due to some reason they wouldn't clarify. (Y/n) didn't press on them because she knew everyone had their own secrets. It wasn't her nature to pry anyway.

It turned out they did have soulmate clocks, something she almost thought about bitterly, however, they were frozen so the time would never decrease. It was strange to her but who was she to talk? After all, she didn't have a clock at all.

"So, what now?" (Y/n) asked as silence fell over the room.

Really, what now? What should they do? They basically just revealed part of their secrets after all. Soulmates were important business in this world and for someone to not have one... It would yield unpredictable consequences.

"I suppose we shourd keep everything a secret," Kiku said after a couple of moments.

"That was obvious. But why did you tell me of all people?" Sse furrowed her brows.

Yao (the person who greeted you when you first knocked on the doors) silently contemplated before sighing.

"Sometimes, we all need someone to talk to."

The conversation ended just like that.

~~~
(Y/n) left soon after that and decided to go to grocery shopping. Red strings floated around her as she walked through the streets quickly. She ignored the strands and continued on her way. She walked through the isles of the store, picking out the food she needed. She dropped everything into her basket and made her way to the cashier.
The red strings grew bright almost as if they were mocking her in a way.
(Y/n) suddenly stopped and turned her head past the people standing around. Around a small section was a young man. Blond hair, violet eyes covered by glasses and a small curl twisting away from his head. She blinked and he was gone.
How strange.
End!
I'm sorry this one was short. I didn't really have anything planned for a sequel so I sorta just wrote whatever came to mind? Thanks for reading!
