89. Falling

(Y/n) coughed over the sink and watched the flowers spill out. Purple Hyacinth.

"Are you okay?" Emma worriedly patted her back.

The (h/c)-haired girl smiled weakly.

"I don't know."

"Who do you like?"

"I'm not sure," (Y/n) ran her hand through her hair, frustrated.

When did she fall in love? Who did she love? She let out a strangled sigh and coughed up more petals. Emma frowned. Hopefully, (Y/n) could find out who it was she had fallen in love with before she choked to death.

"Good luck."

"Thanks."

~~~
"Bella! I heard you-a got hanahaki!" Feliciano said breathlessly.
"You heard correctly," (Y/n) coughed. She brought her hand up to her mouth and flowers spilled over.
"I hope you find out who you-a like soon," he frowned.
"Same," she grumbled, "Hopefully, I don't choke to death before then."
"Have you thought of getting the surgery?" Kiku asked as approached.
"I'll probably get it once I find out who I like or until I decide I've had enough."
"I wish you good ruck," he nodded.
~~~

"It's a shame," Roderich murmured as he played the piano.

"I suppose it is," (Y/n) shrugged.

Elizabeta leaned against her arm, "It's unfortunate jou don't know who it is."

"If I did, this would be so much easier," she bemoaned.

"But it isn't," Roderich sighed.

"Unfortunately."

Not everyone is so lucky, you know?

~~~
"This is so weird, dudette," Alfred thought hard.
"You're telling me."
"We'll find the person eventually, da?" Ivan smiled.
"Gods I hope so."
(Y/n) buried her face in her arms.
"Good luck, aru," Yao said.
"That's what everyone's been saying."
~~~

"It's a s'ame t'at is t'e way it is," Francis sighed.

"Ah, if only jour story vas just as romantic as all zhose ones people share," Gilbert groaned.

"If it wasn't interesting, people wouldn't share it," (Y/n) pointed out.

"Chica has a point," Antonio tapped the edge of the table.

"Do you even have an idea of w'o you like?"

"No, and that's the problem."

(Y/n) choked and coughed to unlodge the flowers.

"I hope jou find vho it is soon."

"I wish I could too."

Falling in love was too complicated.

~~~
(Y/n) found herself at a bridge. She wasn't planning on jumping, of course. That would be a waste of life. She sat the edge, on the rails.
"Hello, (Y/n)," Arthur said as he approached.
"Arthur, Matthew," (Y/n) waved.
"Bonjour, (Y/n)."
"Have you found out who you like?" Arthur asked.
"Unfortunately not," she shook her head, "But hey, I haven't choked to death yet."
"That's good," Matthew smiled.
(Y/n) nodded, "It would be ironic if I died before I even found out who it was or got surgery."
"Don't jinx yourself," Arthur said.
She jinxed herself. Her hands slipped, she leaned forward, she fell. She twisted around and looked up as she was falling. She watched as Arthur and Matthew's face contorted into fear for her, into concern. The wind whipped around her, ruffling her hair as she fell. She shouldn't have chosen this bridge.
(Y/n) closed her eyes as she fell. She guessed she wouldn't ever find out who it was she fell in love it. What a shame. She coughed and the flowers flew out. What a shame indeed.
End!
