Chapter 74

~Ross' POV~

"Bro, I need your help." Ryland said, coming into our room.

"With what?"

"I have a date. I don't know what to wear." Ryland admitted.

"Who's the lady?"

"Riley's sister." Ryland said.

"Dude! Nice!" I exclaimed.

"She's just so pretty."

"Well, wear something nice" I said, going to his closet.

"But what? I just want to impress her."

"You know they leave in 3 days, right?" I asked.

"What? No! She can't leave me! I want her forever." Ryland said, sitting on his bed.

"Ya. I need to be with Riley right now. Just be yourself." I said before walking out.

I went downstairs and outside. I walked across the yards and into Riley's house. He and Rowan were just watching tv.

"Hey baby. Sup Rowan." I said when I walked in.

"Hey babe."

"Sup blondie." Rowan responded.

"Whatcha guys watching?" I asked, sitting down next to Riley.

"Whatever this is. Rowan has the remote." Riley asked.

"You can have it. I need to go get ready." Rowan said, throwing the remote to me.

"Ready for what?" Riley asked.

"I have a date."

"You've been here for like a day. Who could you possibly be dating?" Riley questioned.

"You'll see when he gets here." Rowan said before walking away.

"Do you know who she's dating?" Riley asked me.

I just acted like I didn't hear her. I continued to stare at the tv.

"Ross Shor."

"I don't know who she's dating." I said, lying.

"You're lying." Riley said before getting up and walking away.

"Babe!" I yelled, trying to catch up to her.

"What?"

"She's going on a date with Ryland." I admitted.

"Wow. Ok. I thought him and Savannah were together." she answered.

"They have decided to be friends." I said.

"Oh. That works."

"Hey, I have a question and I don't want to fight about it." I said.

"Then maybe you shouldn't ask it." Riley retorted.

"I'm going to ask it. Why didn't you ever tell me about Rowan?" I asked.

"Ross."

"I wanna know." I said.

"Because, she's a lot skinnier than me and a whole lot prettier. I've liked you since the day we met and I didn't want you to choose her over me. I know that sounds selfish but-"

I cut her off by smashing my lips into hers. We started to walk backward until Riley hit the counter. I tried to deepened the kiss right when Rowan walked in.

"Excuse me?" Rowan said.

"Sorry." I mumbled.

"That's disugsting." she answered.

"Like you've never kissed anyone." Riley scoffed.

"I haven't." Rowan responded.

Just then, Ryland walked in.

"Hey guys." Ryland said, starring at Rowan.

"Ryland, come here." Riley said, motioning toward the hall.

Then went into the hall and left Rowan and I in the kitchen.

~Riley's POV~

"Be careful with her. She's never had a boyfriend. Don't force her to do anything she doesn't want to do." I whispered to Ryland.

"I'll be very careful with her. I don't want to hurt such a beautiful girl like her."

"Thanks Ryland." I said with a smile.

We walked back and joind Rowan and Ross. They were standing really far away from each other.

"You ready?" Ryland asked my sister.

"Yup." she said before they walked away.

"You okay?" I asked Ross.

"Ya. Totally." Ross answered.

"You kissed my sister! I knew you would go for her. That's why I never told you about her!" I yelled before running to my room.

"Babe, wait!" Ross yelled, coming after me.

I ran into my room and slammed the door in his face.

"DAMN IT! I'M SO STUPID!" Ross yelled.

I slid to the bottom of the door and started crying. He didn't have to tell me he kissed Rowan because I know he did it. I felt Ross slide down the door.

"Why'd you do it?" I asked once I calmed down.

"I don't know. It was awkward and it just happened. It meant nothing, I promise." Ross explained.

"How do I know if you're telling the truth?"

"Please, Ri. If you're going to cry, open the door and let me hold you." Ross said.

I opened the door. He crawled in the room and I shut the door. He sat and I moved over to him. We sat for awhile before he laid down and I laid on top of him. My head was near the crook of his neck. I felt on of his tears roll onto my face.

"Why are you crying?" I asked.

"You leave in 2 days." Ross said, his voice cracking.

"I'm not going anywhere."
