April 2021

"No, but I'm just saying maybe lay off the steaks for a bit," I excused with a shrug as we turned down another hallway, "too much red meat could literally shorten your lifespan."

"Then you pick dinner for tonight," Sunghoon stated making me glance to him before letting out a small laugh, "I'll eat whatever you chose."

"No you won't," I reminded him, "you'll still turn to steak."

"I promise I won't this time," Sunghoon assured as we entered the canteen, "now go get our lunch, I'll wait for you here."

I silently hummed before rushing up towards the line of other artists performing today, and looked down at the list our manager had given us. We had been a bit low on staff today, since we had mass testing at the company, so I had been sent to go get lunch and Sunghoon had insisted on tagging along.

"What can I get for you sweetie?" the woman handing out food questioned me in a warm tone.

"Uhm... I'm picking up food for Enhypen," I stated and she immediately nodded before disappearing and returning with two paper bags.

"Can it be right you have a member with gluten allergy?" the woman questioned and I nodded at her, "okay... here you go. Enjoy your lunch."

"Thank you," I happily cooed and bowed as I grabbed the handles of the paperbags and turned around to return to Sunghoon.

I hadn't gotten halway through the canteen before I had realized Sunghoon was talking to one of the other female artists that was performing today. She was awfully pretty, but then again she was held to other standards because she wasn't in a boygroup.

Looking at them from afar as they were talking I realized one thing. They were an awfully pretty pair. They almost looked like a couple.

I stood on my distance to let them talk without me interrupting. But I didn't get to stand back long before Sunghoon realized I was waiting. He immediately smiled before excusing himself and rushing over to grab one of the paper bags from me and nod for me to follow after him back to the dressing room.

I quietly walked beside Sunghoon once in a while glancing up at him, making him just look down at me with a smile everytime I did so.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Sunghoon let out a small laugh as he pushed the door to the dressing room open with his shoulder.

"I was just thinking," I excused with a shrug as I grabbed the paper bag from him and placed them on the table in the room.

"About...?" Sunghoon questioned as he grabbed his lunch and I reached down for my own.

"I just realized something," I excused with a shrug making him sigh before looking around after a camera before softly grabbing my hand and pulling me over to sit down in the corner of the room.

"Are you jealous?" he questioned in amusement as he sat down across from me.

"I don't think I would call it jealousy," I shook my head at him.

"Then what would you call it?" he questioned in amusement.

"Hmm... an epiphany?" I questioned making him let out a small laugh.

"Tell me what's on your mind," he urged and opened his lunchbox.

"She was pretty," I stated and he just nodded, "you looked like a good couple."

"Okay... so now I have a question," Sunghoon stated as he looked back up at me as I just stared at him.

"Which is...?" I gestured for him to continue.

"Why would I spare her one glance when I have you?" he questioned making my cheeks immediately heat up as I looked down.

"Stop it," I complained making him let out a small laugh.

"I'm serious, Hana," he softly spoke, "why look at another girl when everything I want is sitting right across from me?"

"I said stop!" I complained making him just grin happily at me.

"So are you done being jealous?" he questioned in amusement.

"I said I wasn't jealous," I defended making him just raise both his eyebrows at me, "I said I would call it an epiphany."

"You doubted yourself in our relationship because you saw me speaking with a girl you thought was better than you," he clarified making me just shrug at him, "now... I don't know about you... but that is what I would qualify as jealousy."

"But you don't get jealous when I talk with... Jake," I pointed out to him.

"Maybe a bit when you talk to Jake," he admitted making me look at him in shock, "woah hey... I said a little bit... but that's because he always makes you laugh and smile so widely and I don't feel like I do that enough," he excused with a shrug, "but I don't mind you talking to them... mainly because I know Jungwon and Niki probably are too young for you and I don't think... I'd like to think the others may be a bit too stupid for your taste."

"Jake and Jay are probably smarter than you," I reminded him making him let out a small laugh at me as he just nodded.

"Probably," he agreed, "but... you get what I mean... it's not that they're stupid stupid... but I think... or I'd like to think that I'm everything you'll ask for and that none of the boys can live up to that the same way I can."

"Then... lets say I was to speak with another male idol," I stated making him go silent as he just squinted his eyes at me.

"I might experience minor jealousy," he commented making me snicker at him, "no... but back to my point."

"Which was?" I mocked him as I leaned back in my seat.

"I wouldn't dare look at any other girl the way I look at you," he assured making me softly smile at him, "ever."

"Not even when we break up?" I questioned him in amusement.

"If," he corrected, "if we break up."

"You don't think we will?" I questioned and he simply shook his head.

"Never."

"Well... I guess I'm just bound to listen to your complaining till my resting days."

"You just try and get away, I dare you."
