Luca Balsa X Reader
" a new survivor will be coming really soon" the sweet gardener said as she was keeping her normal walking momentum with you. With a smile you looked at her and nodded making her understand that you are acknowledging her topic and stories. The sweet gardener only continue to talk about the topic at hand, she was one of the closest person you can hang around and sometimes it makes you wonder why she also choose to hang out with you.
Emma made sure you to voice out everything when it comes to her topic, this is one trait you loved about the sweet girl she never falter to make you feel at ease to make you feel comfortable. She was like a sister you never actually had, you arrived in the manor not long ago maybe around 4-5 months to be exact.
Everyone has been very welcoming and you've been well in dept with the new people not too long. Everyday there will be 3 main matches one in the morning, one in the noon and one in the evening players are called or requested upon calling. You have such a unique skill which makes you very useful, like Helena you can decode the cipher in few minutes but that being said means you are mainly for decoding and not for kiting.
Most of the time you will be decoding while the rest of your team mates will kite the hunter, but you do know that you will need to know how to kite really soon since you just can't rely on your teammates to always save you when the hunter found your first. Naib was like a brother to you, Eli and Aesop were like your dad they tend to be super protective to you when you were in the same match as them.
But in all you are very thankful and grateful to this people, as you and Emma reached the garden you turned to her with a bright smiled, seeing you smiling like that she speedily took your hands guiding you on her favorite spot on the garden. Where you two spend most of your time, Emma mainly talk about her adoration towards the living plants and sometimes it will take her hours to explain to you how wonderful such one flower could be. You enjoy hearing her speak, she calms you and she manage to crack your shell somehow and it made you wonderfully happy to be able to meet such person.
Not long a new face came up on you two as Emma was talking about the roses colors and what they mean, Aesop was soft to call your name and with his soft and low voice you managed to catch the urgency in his tone. " yes Aesop where here" you called him off making him turn his head from where he was actually standing. The cold and silent embalmer nodded his way as he slowly made his way towards you two. When he reached you he looked at you and Emma and with a soft movement he offered you his hand.
" the new survivor is already here we need to go there to greet him" with that he slowly pulled you up when your hand touches his, you are one of few people he trusted and feels comfortable with and somehow knowing made you feel happy that he decided to trust you.
" alright then let's go Emma" as you took her hand pulling her gently inside the manor where the rest of the people were already waiting. When the three of you arrive a new face stands in the middle, his face shows calm demeanor and anxiety the same features Aesop shows when he was feeling really anxious. " he must be feeling overwhelm with all fo the new face and people here" you whispered to Emma who only nodded in agreement.
You slowly turned your eyes back at him but what you didn't expect is for him to be looking at you straight in your eyes, with a shocked expression you hesitantly wave your hand towards him which he responded with a small nod. After this he was greeted with other questions and from there you never really had the chance to talk to the new person.
" Lets get something to eat y/n?" the sweet gardener called you out, you immediately shoot her a smile and nodded in agreement. Aesop soon followed behind you two, Emma called him off to join your snack time and there is no valid reason why Aesop won't join so he decided to join you and Emma.
The new face of the new survivor burn in your head as you recall that swift short moment your eyes lock, it feels like he wanted to say something but he can't say it and so his gestures seriously reminded you how Aesop and you slowly become to be accustomed to each other.
When you and Emma finally had some other stuff to do, you and her separate in different ways she said she will need to plant new flowers and thus the young gardener took her time to plant more flowers. Aesop on the other hand said he will need to do some cleaning with his make-up brushes and so the male took his leave just like Emma.
" aaaawww so bored" as you walked your way alone in the long and dark halls of the manor, unlike the two of your closest friends you had nothing in particular you needed to do so sort off so here you are bored to death for not having anything to do. You slowly walked your way towards the library where you plan to read some random books to ease your boredom in your way there you saw a familiar new face in the hall.
The new survivor seems to be lost in this hall, with the worry look in his eyes you decided to help him off. " hey" you called out carefully trying not to startle of scare the poor man with the new voice around the hall Luca's eyes widen when he saw you there. His faces bloomed pink when he recognized you, you decided to not mind the blooming color on his cheeks.
" what are you doing here?" he seems not to understand what you said, he eyed his surrounding before looking back at you with a confuse eyes " are you talking to me?" was the first sentence he said, you giggled a bit how reckless and cute this man is. With a smiled you walked closer to him until your already in front of him " is there anyone here beside us?" you called his attention back again.
When he was sure there is only the two of you there he nodded and turned away from you " well it's just me and you here" he added, he looked at you as he was waiting for you to speak again. " Well I am kind of lost can you help me?" he asked again hearing this you chuckled a bit taking him off guard the tint of his cheeks was no longer visible but hearing you laugh made him feel something more.
" where are you going anyway?" the words float our your mouth instantly, he eyed you a bit before looking around again he slowly eyed you back before speaking " the library I was told that the manor has a library I needed some books for my inventions but I got lost around my way here" he then turned his eyed down and suddenly the floor seems really interesting at the moment.
" ohhh good thing I was heading there too you should tag along with me" hearing your words he finally lifted his eyes to look at you again, the bright beaming smiling you show him was really adorable and hearing your voice made him soar like butterfly in other words he find everything about you adorable.
" sure thank you" he said as you slowly started walking to somewhere he slowly walked behind you as he observed where you were taking him. The new survivor was awfully quite the same atmosphere you experience when you first hang out with Aesop the fear of saying something wrong made them anxious.
But you were able to crack Aesops shell and so you decided to give it a try to make Luca open up to you even though it's just a bit. When you two reaches the library he was hesitant to go on his own, you took the time to strike few conversation which he took every now and then, he avoided talks about his personal matters which you respected and he started to slowly talk more about himself.
" I need books for my invention can you help me umm find the section where the machinery and such was placed?" the new survivor asked you, turning around to him you nodded giving him a comfortably sigh. " It should be this way" you were fast to call his attention, you two walk in the endless aisle of the books trying to find the specific stand or shelves he needed.
Not long you found it he was happy and estatic seeing so much book he could read , he took his chance to take every note of the shelves as he tried to find the books he needed. You on the other hand just watch him but soon you found your self interested and curious about what he was making or inventing. Not long your hand was already reaching our for a certain book that took your interest but before you can even grab it another pair of hands grab it holding accidentally your hand in the process.
Your eyes turned to your side seeing Luca with a shock and confuse face, you two stay still for few second but soon enough he realized that he was holding your hand he abruptly pulled his hand from you as he release a short and quick electricity from his body. " ohhh my gosh" you called him out worried that he might had hurt himself in the process.
He stumble down on the floor as he watch you, you hurriedly went to his side looking at him and inspecting if he was hurt. " are you okay what was that?" you asked him, he only sigh as he slowly stood up not missing the chance to notice that you helped him back on his feet.
" sorry I release electricity when I am shocked or when I felt in danger" he said as you eyed him, you asked him " did you felt you were in danger earlier?" you asked him he was fast to shoot the idea down " NO!, I am just shock at the situation" his hand slowly went into his back as he steadily hold it and rub it with gentle circles.
Your hand was soft, gentle and it was nothing like he had touch before well in fact this might be one of those few rare occasion he was talking to a girl. He was always shy when it comes to talking to other people but for once he was comfortable to converse with someone he just met not long ago.
The strong beating of his heart made him realized that he needed to go, with that he hurried took the book he was holding that scattered on the floor as he eyed you bowing in the process " Uhhh thank you for the help I should get going now" with that he dash out the room leaving you standing in the middle of the big library.
When you are already sure he was nowhere to be found you slowly lifted your hand examining it " cold, very cold" his touch was cold, the shock expression he has when he touch your hand burn memories in your mind. You can note how pink his cheeks was and how shock his eyes looks when he did , the red tint on his cheeks was adorably cute and so you decided to let it go. " such cute guy"
Slowly making your way out to go back to your room.
