Martha Behamfill X Reader
" no" a solid firm answer echoes in the manor hall, the group of survivor who was in the living room heard the booming and clear answer from the male known as y/n, the ( occupation ). " I told you I won't go to any matches with you unless you realized what you' done.
"what??? We need you in that match why are you even acting this way" Martha just answered back earning a groan from the male who only rubbed his temple in head ache.
" this is the reason why I don't want to talk about it right now, you won't understand me at all" the male added earning a glare from the coordinator.
" I save your sorry ass you should be thankful to me, you know" Martha added earning a deep sign from the male
" just no and if you really cannot drop your pride to be able to talk to me then be it" he said as he eyed the coordination who was already fuming in anger " I won't join you and that's my answer" with that the male walked to his room leaving the living room in a very hard and tense atmosphere, Martha was raging inside she can't understand why you were acting this way.
A low whistle was heard from the thief who was sitting on the sofa near the fire place " wooooo wow that's really strong" he started " shut up" as Martha shouted in anger, the group only eyed her as they not know what to do or say.
" well I think y/n really did had a point there Martha " the perfumer said as she eyed her from her sit, the coordinator only looked at her confused and angry " I mean he told you he don't need to be rescued and yet you gone for it" she added as Martha looked at her shocked
" what?? All I did was saved him why does this make me feel like I was the bad guy?" she added earning few groans in response. Ema walked towards her as she spoke in comeback.
" y/n clearly said he don't need to be save that match Martha, it's just you didn't listen to him" she added as Naib interject adding few response " which lead us to a losing streak than a tie, you might had need to rethink why he was so angry about this" he added " besides, he said he don't need you to save him and yet you didn't listen" he added, Martha was growing angry every moment.
" I saved him he should be happy I did, at least be thankful I didn't leave him," she was about to say something more when Emily spoke " but he said he don't saving" Emily sigh as Martha just stood there, the group slowly walk out their way leaving Emily and Ema with Martha. " is it really wrong?" she asked the doctor who only shook her head in disagreement. Ema sitting across he observing what will happen.
" saving someone is not wrong but respecting their decision is greatly a need" she pat Martha's head as she spoke, Ema nodded as she looked at her, Martha only look the table cloth as she was trying to rethink what went wrong. " ughhhh" the sound of desperate cries resounded again.
A knock was heard from your door, upon opening it up you saw two of your closes friends. Aesop and Eli stood there in front of your door post as they smiled waiting for you to invite them in. " hey" Eli said as you opened the door wider enough for them to get in. " what do you need?" you ask them as you gently sat on the chair near the table. Aesop walk to your bed as Eli closes the door.
"we heard about your fight with Martha" Eli started, Aesop hum in agreement " what really happened?" the seer asked, the ( occupation). A groan was heard and there Eli and Aesop know how distraught y/n feels, y/n is a very flamboyant and free spirit male and so making him sigh deep or groan means something really is wrong.
" I just wanted her to respect my decision, I've been trying to protect her and yet she came running without a second thought" you eyed them Eli understanding the situation and Aesop remained still. " I wanted her to listen to me for once since all I wanted it to make her safe is that even bad to ask?" you placed the cup on the saucer as you eyed Eli back. Aesop hum as Eli began to speak.
" you know how Martha felt for you and you know fully well how stubborn and hard headed she could be as much as the same level as Naib" he smiled at you as he walked closer to you patting your shoulder " I am sure she was doing it for a reason, she might also wanted to save you at least" he added as you groan
Time skip/ you've tried your best to avoid going into matches with Martha and she was fully aware of it all. She was beyond angry and confuse why you are so stubborn about the thing she did when it was all in all just to save you. She grow irritated and annoyed as you tried to avoid her even in lunches or break time you will try your best to avoid her at all cost.
" I can't take it" the coordinator grown from stress " he think so highly of himself then fine be it" she said as Emily and Ema eyed her across the table. " he think he can just win without any comrade??? Stubborn ( occupation). She took the cup and sip it fast tasting the obvious tastes of tea.
" just give him more time Martha" the gardener added, having grunts and groans as a response " he might be needing it more now" she added
" ohh I will give him time I will never talk to him ever" with that the woman stood up walking out her way not before hearing Emily semi shouting something to her. Waving her hand she went up straight to her room, by taking the sharp turn she saw the face she didn't want to see at the moment. The ( occupation ) was walking with Eli in the halls, few smiles and chuckles echoes in the walls of the hall as the two walk their way, seeing this Martha hide on one of the walls to avoid seeing him with that she eyed the two walked passed by her as she observed the ( occupation) guy.
" did you told her that y/n will be on our match later?" Ema asked the doctor who only hum in contradiction, " please tell me you told y/n that Martha will be there" she added but Emily just smiled at her and nodded disagreeing with the gardener. " lets hope for the best in our match later then" with that the two continue to enjoy their tea time that morning.
Time skip// Y/n arrived in the match waiting hall earlier than planned he stumble the doctor on his way on the room, they strike few minutes of talk before entering the place the two sited next to each other as they planned for their move in this match. Not long the door opened to reveal the gardener and so the three started talking like usual, Martha was last to arrive and seeing y/n there she tried her best not to react y/n did the same.
The matches started as usual, you run towards the cipher you saw which is thankfully just few meters from you upon doing so you've noticed the outline of the hunter which reveals to be the Geisha. You hurriedly finish the cipher as you pop it in no time, running to the next one you mentally hope to win this match whatsoever that will happen.
Martha just pop her cipher as Emily did the same two more and this will be a quick game upon running the alarm went off signaling one from the team is down. The gardener was already incapacitated and Martha started running towards her for a rescue, you on the other hand just finished the 4rth cipher and waiting for Emily to work or give you updates about the last one.
Martha successfully rescued the gardener since Geisha is not camping this match which you guys were thankful, you were almost done with the last cipher as you were about to pop it Geisha teleported near you knocking you down in the process " ughhghhh really michiko??" you asked the hunter who only sadly smiled at you, " sorry dear but I need to win this match" she said as she tied you on one of the balloon and started walking towards the rocket chair.
" leave me" as you shouted across the map, Emily would pop the last cipher and all you will have this game as a win. Groaning on the chair you noticed a familiar outline, Martha came running towards you again " ohh no no no, I told you to leave me" you shouted again but she didn't listen, she shot Michiko in the process as she freed you from the chair, taking your hand on the process as she semi drag you away from the hunter.
" why won't you listen to me for pete sake Martha, stop being a selfish person and listen to me " you pulled your hand away from her, as you felt a hard slap on your cheek followed by a loud crying. You were both stunned and confuse what is happening but you then realized that Martha is balling her eyes out crying in front of you.
" I just wanted to save you, I wanted to make sure you are alright and yet you don't understand me at all" she wailed eyeing you in the process, her puff cheeks is red and her eyes spills tears. You were shocked but then come to realized what is happening, Michiko came in after a while " ohh my" she said as she watch the scene, Emily and Ema came running too.
" so I am the selfish one when all I wanted to do is make sure you are safe? Why are you so mean y/n I wanted to save you cause I am protecting you and yet you say means things to me and even avoided me in days" she cried " you are so mean so bad" she started crying again, you stood there not knowing what to do, of course you wanted to also protect her that is the main reason why you don't want to get save you wanted her to be safe in every match. Even using cipher rush and all just to make the match shorter in hopes that she won't need to encounter the hunter.
But your over protectiveness came into limit when you think she was selfish enough not to listen, you took a deep breath as you gently took her hand lifting one of your land on her cheeks to wipe the cascading tears from her beautiful eyes. " I am sorry, I was just trying to protect you." You looked at her lovingly " I wanted you to escape without getting hurt and so I don't want you to rescue me" you said which successfully made her stop from crying.
" I guess I was too focus on wanting to protect you that I failed to realized you are also trying to prottec me too" you smiled at her finally wiping the last stain on her cheeks " ahhh young love" Michiko said as Ema and Emily stood beside her. " ohh well since I've managed to witness such strong feeling for each other I will surrender this match" with that the geisha returned to her loving look at she walked towards you " good luck with that okay" she pat your head as she smiled at Martha.
The small group is walking back to the manor, Martha hold your hand like never wanting to let go " promise me that you will listen to me when I ask you okay" you told her, she pout as she nodded anyway " also, I love you" with that her face flush red as she smiled at you hugging your side in the process.
