Joseph X Reader ( Vampire in love )
Close your eyes " a voice resounds in the empty halls, a young child desperately clings to his mother's embrace as the woman tried her best to protect the child. " everything will be okay" he clutch her clothing hard, behind her was the towns people being rough to kill them " THEM?". Stake and swords were present as the door of their said mansion closed shut protecting them from the people outside, them? What are they really?. Little joseph eyed his father who was walking towards them in frantic state " let's go" he said as the woman took him in her arms as his father did the same in one of his brother.
They run, they run away from the house from the people but soon they were cornered. The sight of death of his parents and brother killed him that day and then so he hated what monster he was born to be with " close your eyes everything will be alright" the last words he heard from his mother before she died.
His eyes flung open, another nightmare of his past the cold sweats on his forehead was vivid as his hand post a clamy feeling. The sun rays shines as he slowly made way to the window, It was detailed with highly amazing hands and colored with fine colors only rich people can afford. In short he was rich, a count?, a royal? Maybe even in level of a king can be considered his wealth. But this peaceful life will soon need to end.
Creak, the sound of twigs and branches breaking as he made a quick escape from the people who wants to kill him. He hold his shoulder who was bleeding so much as he pant hard soon after he realized that he is too weak to heal his own wounds. He cursed everything as he eyed the fire brimming group walking towards him, how did this happens??. One of his maid servants had discovered that he was a vampire and so with all the leeches and desperate attempts to be rich she sold him off to the townspeople that is the reason why he was running away now.
He left it everything, everything he had work he left it all behind like how they left their wealth before. He grunt as he eyed the closely approaching group he didn't want to die well at least not yet he had tried his best to live like a human. He avoided killing innocent people or even the thought of killing but then again people are greedy they wanted everything as for their self.
The burning pain on his shoulder was too much to ignore he hated how he let people do this to him and if he was given a chance he will murder them all. His parents never live like they need to, they never fed on blood or humans at all they live like real human beings but the world hated them and decided that they don't belong.
He fall on his knees as he no longer can support his weight, the darkness of the forest is lulling him to sleep " death " is a very distressing word and as much as he would love to embrace the thought of it he can't die yet. His eyes slowly falls as he let the darkness consume him, not until one last voice seeping into his mind " everything will be alright".
He slowly opened his eyes, an unknown room surprises him in the process he abruptly sit up as his hand automatically reaches for his hurting shoulder, he then realized that he was half naked but his shoulder was neatly and carefully patch up perfectly. He eyed his surrounding studying every nook and corners, it wasn't as fancy as his own room was but he can point out that the person living in this place will be in the same level of a noble. The door slowly opened revealing a girl, her eyes never leaving the tray she was holding as she tried her best to balance it as she walked.
Her eyes widen when she saw him awake " ohhh your up" she spoke in very gentle words, Joseph was curious who is this person and yet why is she helping him?. " don't move too much your badly hurt" she smiled at him and for once he felt secured and cared, how long did he last felt that?. She successfully placed the tray on the table near the bed as she eyed him with a smile.
Joseph: who are you and why are you helping me?" he sat up fully still holding his shoulder, the girl only stood up straight as she gather the material of her fine silk gown, joseph can note how well made her gown looks she might really be a royal or a noble.
y/n: how rude of me" she pause and made a bow " I am (y/n) duchess of swiftville de royell" when she finished the bow, joseph nodded at her before she spoke again " and you are?" she asked curious to the male who sat silently on the bed, joseph just eyed her as he gave her a smiled.
Joseph: joseph is my name, I am no noble I am attack while I fled somewhere" he lied, the girl seem to believe her as she then gently took some medicine on the tray before heling Joseph to sit up properly. The silence in suffocating, Joseph didn't intend to ask any more for it will be no more use then so the woman spoke again " I saw you in the woods on my way here and so I thought you needed help" she smiled at him as she patch his back with bandages.
Joseph: thank you for your kindness when I am healed enough to go I will leave thee" he said above whisper, the girl only nodded thankful that the male he saved was somehow a gentleman and not a vulgar maniac who will kill her. "Won't you ask me why I am badly hurt?" he turned to the girl who was now fixing the medicine on the silver tray, she shook her head in disagreement slowly she turned to him once more.
y/n: it's not my line to ask about you and why you are hurt, I highly respect people's privacy and if you don't want to tell me the be it" she smiled " I am contented to be at help" with that she gave him one encouraging smile, joseph soon realized that she was not going to hurt him and so he decided to trust her more. He eyed the girl as the girl continue to work on some tea, he can note how smooth her skin looks and how vivid her eyes shines, the small touches of makeup enhance her looks and the small waist she had. "would you like some tea?" the girl asked with a sweet smile, he just nodded and let her treat him with care beside it's been a while since last time he was cared of.
Time skip/ ( two days ), Josephs wounds are fully healed but he still acts that it's not, well it will shock the people in the mansion that in two days the deep hole in his shoulder was already gone. In his stay he had realized that the duchess was young too young for her title, he also found out that her parents died when she was just seven years old. There are five people in the manor not including himself and the duchess, her trusted carriage man who is known as Eli, the maidservants Emily and Martha, the cook Aesop and the gardener Ema. In his stay in the manor, he also noted that how loving and gentle the duchess was to her worksman, she treat them like family not like just any other workers.
He smiles was genuine and carefree ohh how he started to admire those, her small touches was warm and full of love. The people in the mansion never question him what so ever they just trusted and obeyed their master. But soon after the people started talking to him with great respect. Soon he realized that he was falling in love with the girl.
She was practicing her fencing skill as she wore a white body suit "don't go easy on me" she said as the male in front of him known as Jose pose in preparation " will try my best not to mi'lady" with that the two started their match, they both fought really well the sound of swords clashing was loud as the two maid servant stood on the sideline holding the duchess stuff with them. Joseph stood beside the maid servants; he can see how the workers admired their master the clear shining of their eyes every time their lady make a score is enough to know that they respected her well.
After the match, " uwahh thanks for that amazing fight Jose, glad to have you here" she said as she was served with towels by Emily, Jose nodded as he placed the sword on the rack the two sat in silence as they continue to talk about something else business or else or so. Joseph was minding his own business but soon he heard something that made his blood run cold " there has been stories that vampires invade this place, " jose took the cup as he sip the tea , y/n seems interested " you need to be carefully mi'lady if you get involved with them unhappiness and misery will only sure to follow" he said, y/ nodded as she took the cup of tea drinking it gracefully.
It was true if anyone found out about joseph being a vampire this whole manor will perish with fire, he bit his lower lip as he was thinking what his stay will bring to this group of people, he somehow loved his stay and he slowly develop deep devotion to the duchess of the manor. And so he decided he needed to leave soon, that night he took his coat and bread enough for a day or two when he was already in the door a shadow lure in his attention.
"where are you going" the voice he started to love resounds the empty lobby of the mansion, he slowly turned to see the duchess dress in fine pink silk night gown slowly walking down the stairs, her eyes were serious and deadly the very first time he saw those kinds of stare from the girl" leaving without saying anything?" he stood his ground, you reach him in no time " tell me joseph where are you going?" you asked again, this time he spoke.
Joseph: Mi'lady this is for the best" he said you gently took hold of his arm with confuse eyes he eyed your smaller form.
Y/n: for what? So you can hide again?" your voice is cold and deadly he noted how angry you sound, he took the chance to hold your hand with his hands
Joseph: I wasn't supposed to be here to begin with" but before he can say anymore you spoke again " because of what? Because of you're a vampire?" your voice is clear he turned his head to you as you eyed him, soon after your eyes turned gentle " you don't need to leave" you said as you gently pulled yourself closer to him. He doesn't want to leave, he wanted to stay but his stay will bring danger to you and your whole group.
Before he can speak again you spoke shortly "don't worry about us, nothing bad will happen" with that you eyed him with a smile and so for once he wanted to protect someone so badly. So why when he decided to trust you things turns out like this, you hugged him lovingly as he gently hugged you back.
Fire, big fire on the manor was slowly eating the whole place. He eyed the whole residence before dashing insode to find you " y/n?????" he called for you, the fire is consuming every inch of the entire manor, " Y/n????? where are you" he covered his nose with his sleeves, he eyed every corned trying to find the person he was desperately calling. Then he reach your study room, he kicked the door open only to see you on the floor bleeding " Y/n~!!!!!!!" he called out hurriedly taking you to his arms.
y/n: ohhh you're back early I didn't think you'll be back this early" you paused and cough blood from your mouth, you then eyed Josephs ocean eyes, you loved him loved him more than yourself so when you heard about the towns people planning to kill him you immediately send him out to other town to tend your business. But he was back early and so he saw you like this " stay with me" he desperately called you out, you took the time to hold his face in your hand and with a bitter smile you shook your head. " there's not enough time my dear" you said as he pause realizing what you were saying " NOOO we will go now", the iron smell of your blood is driving him crazy, you notice the sudden changes of his eyes as you note the flaring color of blood. You know what he wants and you will give what he needs.
y/n: joseph, promise me you will take care of them okay?" you said as you smiled at him one final time, you gently offered him your hand " take my blood " you said weakly, he shook in disagreement " no" he said as he eyed your form " please joseph" he gently took hold of your hand as he slowly placed them on his mouth, his sharp canine revealing, the bite was deep but you couldn't care less. And just like that you faded into dark slumber.
Joseph stood in front of a burned building, your body lay peacefully on the grassy ground as Emily, Ema and Martha cried their hearts out. Eli and Aesop stood with tears as they watched what happened. " what will happened to us now?" Ema asked, joseph turned to him with pity. " I " he starts " I will need to be somewhere for now just stay in the place I will bring you" the workers eyed him, their sobs didn't stop but what breaks him was when they stood up and bowed to him in respect.
His tears cascade his face as he eyed your pale form, Knock was heard on the solid door. It was raining as Joseph knock on the door again. The door squeak a little when it opens, Two brothers stood on the door frame shock to see one of their comrade on the door, Xie was quick to let him in while Fan gone out to get some towels.
Xie's eyes widen when he noticed that Joseph was carrying a body with him " joseph this is?" he asked before he hurriedly went to the other room and back soon with a coffin, the coffin was detailed heavily like it was made for a king or a queen, he gently placed the coffin on the floor as he opened the lid. Joseph took the time to gently place you on the coffin, Xie watch how his friend gently tuck you in. Fan arrived with the towels but didn't seem fazed seeing a body on the new coffin.
Xie: joseph who is she?" he asked as he slowly sat on the chair, their business was coffin and funeral service, Fan took the seat beside him as they waited for him to speak.
Joseph: a lover" he pause " can I keep this coffin, I'll pay you when I get back on my feet" he said, Xie was quick to response " it's on the house joseph beside this young lady seems to be at ease" he gently run his finger on your cheek, noticing how cold your face was.
Joseph stood up once more earning the stare of the brothers " I'll be back please watch over her" with that he opened the door as he walked out the heavy rain. Xie looked at your form as he gently kneels down in front of you, he smiled at his brother who looked pleased.
Fan: he did tried to make her a vampire and yet?" he spoke " it seems it didn't reach her on time" he sadly said, Xie nodded as he carefully eyed the bite marks on your wrist, it was deep and still fresh he can't falter the thought of desperately trying to save someone only to fail into misery. Fan kneels beside you as he eyed your neck, there's no mark of Josephs fangs and yet he can feel the shallow pulse you have.
Xie: but I can see she was alive" he said, Fan nodded " not too alive thought it maybe because Joseph never actually turned anyone into vampire yet" Fan only nodded " his blood is weak" the black guard said with bitterness on his words, " how long though" he eyed you, cold and pale and yet a small pulse can be felt.
Time skip/ joseph pant hard; fire around him was vivid as the blood on his hand drip like water. He eyed his work as he smirk widely he had wiped everyone in the town who killed you, not living any single sign of life. Everyone child, woman and man he hated it but he will need to revenge you, he knows well that it won't be something you want but it was something he needed to do.
When he returned to Xie and Fan, they already offered him a ride back to his place. Just like that joseph started again from the scratch. He started to build his life once more; even it was harder than before he had lost everything again but this time he had lost the love of his life.
Time skip/ 2 years passed and Joseph was already a count once again, Aesop and Eli bowed to him as he made way inside the mansion floors. He was true to his words; he did take care of your workers they were working for him now but even though they were there the cold feeling of not being complete hurts him like no other. The workers eyed their new master with pity; he was like living in a world without a reason.
He slowly made way on one of his private rooms, there in the middle was your coffin designed with yellow rose. Aesop took the time to make this room as calm as it can be, Ema grow such amazing amount of yellow rose only to be use for your viewing. Joseph didn't like to bury you so he kept you here; he kept you here so he can see you, love you even though you are gone. He talks to you about his life his days and his rants, he wish you could respond to him but he knows well it will be too much to ask.
He flop on the floor beside your coffin, you were placed beautifully as you wore a very lovely white gown. Joseph took the time to choose the best gown for you and so he thought you will look wonderful to it. He pulled the ribbon on his hair as he throw it somewhere in the room, he gently took hold of your hand as he place them on his cheeks, tears slowly cascade his face as he looked at you " I wish you were here" he sniffle and so he slowly fell asleep.
" wake up" you heard from a dark fog, when you opened your eyes you were greeted by woman she was holding a small child on her chest who looks like joseph a man ever so present beside her. " wake up my dear you need to come back" before you can even speak the darkness consume you.
You slowly opened your eyes, if feels like you've been sleeping for a century you slowly sat up only to realize that something or someone was holding you down. Upon further looking you saw a pale ash blood hair on the side of the coffin, his face was buried on your hand as you cannot recognized him yet. You gently pat his head as you felt secured on his touch, his hair shines under the moon light as you notice it was dark around the place.
You stayed there for a while when finally you took the time to swept few strands of hair from the person who was beside you, upon this movement your eyes widen with the sight the man you learned to loved sat on the side holding your hand, his cheeks were tainted with tears as his eyes shut with discomfort. " joseph" you weakly called unto him, your voice was raspy and cold " joseph" you called again this time he flinch, he slowly turned to you meeting your eyes in the process, his eyes widen as he hugged you " if this is a dream then I don't want to wake up" he hugged you tight, hot tears slowly falls from his eyes.
You were shocked but decided to give his back gentle pats, he then gently let go of you " you don't need to wake up, because I am real" you said as sadness vivid on his face " please don't leave me" he said as he tried his hard to hold you still not realizing that you were real. " it's about time" a voice rung on the door, joseph turned to look at his two friends who walked casually to him.
" it took 2 years for your blood to work" Fan said with tease " two years for that woman to lay there waiting to wake" he smiled at his friend Fan flop on the stairs as he played with some yellow roses, Xie smiled at you as he gently helped you up from the coffin, joseph was still confused what is happening.
Joseph?: what is happening??" he asked Xie who seems to smile to him
Xie: joseph this young lady didn't die, it's just your blood works really slow it usually takes 2 days to wake a converted vampire and yet she took 2 years". Joseph looked at them wide eyes he never thought of converting you into vampire for else he never knew it was possible, so it was true that you were a live " how are you feeling mi'lady" Xie asked you, you smiled softly as you wave him off
y/n: I am fine " you smiled eyeing joseph in the process, you softly walked towards him as you wrap your arms around his waist " now tell me you will never leave me again " you said with a tender smile, his face was still stained with tears but he leaned down to you for a sweet passionate kiss, after this he pulled back resting his hand on your cheek " never" he said as he kiss your head.
The two of you lived like before; of course your workers were shock at this revelation but soon learned to accept what really happened.
