I head out my door to grab some snacks. As in popcorn because I feel like eating popcorn. Also because I ate the last bag this morning. Don't judge me. I'm already doing that myself. I pay for the delicious treat and head to the park.
I notice Kyōtani sitting on the bench, head in his hands. "Senpai? What are you doing out here?" I ask, approaching him. He straightened up ready to fight but calmed down realizing it's me. "Nothing"
I sit beside him. "Alright then, let me guess. You got into a fight with (c/m) again. (H/o/s) scolded you. You two argued. You got mad and left. And here we are now."
He grunted.
"Are you going to tell me now?"
"You already know. Why bother?" He replied.
"Because the senpai I know doesn't fight for no reason." His fists clenched. I place my hand on top of his, gently squeezing it. "What happened senpai?"
"The bastard was talking shit about you..."
"He usually does that. What bothered you this time?"
"I don't know. I just couldn't stand him spewing nonsense."
I smile, teasingly poking his arm. "Does senpai care about me?"
"N-No," he stuttered avoiding my aze. I giggle.
"Your face is pink," I sing.
"S-Shut up!"
I laugh. "Thanks, senpai, but you don't have to worry about me."
"Whatever," he says getting up to leave. I seize his hand.
"Want to spend the night? I know you're not going back home."
"Thanks..." he answers quietly.
"No problem senpai!"
"You know, you don't have to call me senpai."
I shrug. "It's either that or Kentarō! I doubt you're comfortable with that. Besides, as my upperclassmen, I need to address you with respect."
"Oikawa─"
"Is a dramatic princess. So I'll treat him as one."
Kyōtani stifled a laugh.
"Did you just—"
"No, you're imagining it," he said walking past me. Our hands are still together, so he dragged me along. Not that I mind.
TIME SKIP [THAT NIGHT]
"Where's the shirt I left here last time?" Kyōtani said. I walk into my room wearing said shirt. He blushed. "Why are you wearing it?"
I shrug, jumping on my bed. I pat the space beside me. As soon as he sat down, I lay my head on his lap. He passed his hand through my (h/c) fair. No questions asked. We do this often.
INCOMING CALL. . . . . . . . tsun🌙dere
I blink. I'm not dreaming? Suga 2.0 is actually calling me.
"Who's that?" Kyōtani asks.
"Senpai from Shiratorizawa. Oikawa added me to his setter chat."
[ACCEPT] DECLINE
F: I'm surprised you called.
S: You asked.
F: You could've ignored me Semi-senpai.
S: I guess I wanted to talk to you.
F: Oooooh seduced by my charms?
S: N-No, I'm just bored. You're thinking too much.
I feel Kyōtani tense up. I look up. He clicked his tongue, remaining silent.
F: Arara, such a tsundere.
S: I'm n-not a tsundere!
F: Keep telling yourself that.
S: Suga was right. You're a handful to deal with.
F: It takes a lot to keep up with a boss like me.
S: I'm always up for a challenge.
F: You don't know─
"Hey! Give back my phone!" I tell Kyōtani who's holding it a length away.
"Don't talk to her."
CALL ENDED 📳 [📴]
I look at him in disbelief. "What was that for?!" He stayed silent.
"Kyōtani Kentarō, I suggest you answer me."
He flinched. "Tch... You don't need to talk to him. I'm here."
It takes a second for me to notice. "Are you jealous?"
His face went red. "W-Whatever"
He tried to leave, but I don't let him. I pin him down, straddling his hips. Since we're pretty much matched in strength, it takes him a lot of effort to flip us around. "You're not going anywhere till I hear the truth."
He kept fighting to free himself. I grit my teeth, pushing him harder. "Be a good boy and stay still."
"So I'm a dog now?" He growled.
"If you're going to play like this, a leash is going to be the least of your worries, Kyōtani."
"...I'll talk. Just get off me."
"Don't think I don't know you want to get out of here."
"You're not really making this easier for me."
I click my tongue. I get off, sitting beside him, making sure to block his way out. "Go on."
He sat up, refusing to look at me. "I was jealous okay? You're here with me but you're on the phone with some guy. He calls and all of a sudden I'm no longer here. You met him today. It pisses me off... I wouldn't think twice about bashing in his skull."
I know that Kyōtani is violent at times. But this unheard of. His voice... He's seriously mad.
"Kyō, why?"
He started shaking. "I don't want you to leave like they did─like she did... Fuck, I can't function without you... If you're gone. I'll go back to─I don't want to go back to being..."
He's sobbing. I can't see his face, but I can hear his cries. Seeing him like this... It hurts. I hug him from behind. He clutched my forearm. "I'll never leave you."
"Promise?" He choked through his sobs. I smile. "I promise Kyōtani─"
"Kentarō... Call me Kentarō."
I take a peek at his face, smiling. "Who knew Kentarō was secretly soft?"
"Shut up," he said with a shy smile. He turned his body around, pushing us both down. He kept one arm under his head and caressed my cheeks. It's weird. This isn't the first time. But it feels just like it.
"Say, Kentarō?"
"Hm?"
"Thanks for telling me."
He sighed and I'm suddenly pressed flush against his bare chest. "You forced it out of me, but you're welcome."
I roll my eyes. "You loved the view. Don't lie."
"Bite me."
"You know I will."
"Just shut up and go to sleep," he groaned. His eyes closed and I follow his lead, falling into a dreamscape.
