After encountering a second-year student on your first day, you never expected your life to take such a dramatic turn.

"Light, have you seen Teshiro anywhere? We were supposed to study at my house. I've been waiting for a while."
"He left earlier. He told me tell you. I forgot. I apologies."
"It's fine. I just needed some help. But I'll get through it."
"I can help you."

"It's fine. I don't mind."
"No, it's okay. I can manage. See you tomorrow."

"Teshiro, can we talk?" you said, looking around. "It'll only take a second."
"What's wrong?"
"Something's wrong with Light. I don't know what but he keeps trying to get close to me," you said rushed.
"What do you mean close?"
"F/n, I've been looking for you everywhere," Light said, jogging to join you. You put on a smile, laughing.
"Sorry about that. I was just reminding Teshiro that he should focus on his practice. We can't always hang out all the time."
Teshiro catching the mood went with it. "Yes, we have a tournament coming up. I shouldn't slack off as much."
Yagami smiled. "That's good. F/n, L wants to buy more cake. Care to join us later?"
"I can't. My mom's expecting me home."
"No worries. I called her. She said you could stay out late as long as you were with us."
You kept your smiling front but you were inwardly panicking. "I guess that settles it. I'll see you after class. Speaking of which, Light, you should hurry and get to yours. I wouldn't want you to be late because of me."
"You're so caring," he said, placing a hand on your shoulder. You struggled to not show disgust.
"We're friends after all," you said.
"Yes, friends... I'll see you after school." And he left leaving an eery silence behind him. You shivered intensely. Teshiro looked at you worried.
"F/n, I'll keep my phone on me later," he whispered. "Call if you feel uncomfortable."
"Thanks, Teshi."
You went to class a little relieved but still overthinking what Light could be planning.
TIME SKIP
Teshiro was on the tip of his toes all practice. Did this serve him well? Certainly. He was reacting faster. But he was also zoning out because of it. Even on break, he stayed removed, focused his phone in case it rang. And when it did. His stomach dropped.
T: F/n?
F: Teshi, can you stay on the line?
T: Yes, are you okay?
F: Yeah for now. I'm in the bathroom. I'm keeping the sink running to muffle my words.
T: Where are you?
F: I don't know this place. It's pretty closed off from the main streets.
T: Is L still there?
F: He left ages ago. I've been nagging Light to bring me home but he doesn't want to. What do I do?
T: Stay calm and make sure your phone location is on. I'll be here.
F: Okay.
He heard knocking on the line.
"I'll be out in a second!"
Teshiro muted his side while alerting his upperclassmen of the situation. "That's why I've been on edge. I'm worried his behaviour will get out of hand."
Kuroo reassured him. "Stay on the line. I'll talk to the coaches. We'll call the police if needed."
"Thank you, captain."
Kuroo asked Kenma to stay with Teshiro in the meantime. They listened to your conversation.
L: F/n, do you like someone?
F: No? I haven't thought about my feelings lately.
L: Has no one at school caught your eye?"
F: Not that I'm aware of.
L: Not even Teshiro?
F: He's just a friend.
L: Good, I have no rivals to take care of.
Teshiro gulped. Kenma was equally as tense.
F:What?
L: I am interested in you, F/n. Such a beautiful girl you are.
F: T-Thank you.
L: If only you could be mine.
F: L-Light, I'm not r-ready for relationships.
L: No worries. We have all the time to prepare.
F: Uhm I guess. But could we continue another day? It's getting rather late and we have classes tomorrow.
L: You're right. I'll walk you home. After all, a lady shouldn't walk alone at this hour.
Teshiro stayed on the line until you were home. He heard a small struggle and then silence. A door clicked and you faintly cried. Unmuting himself he called for you.
T: F/n, are you home?
F: Yes. He—He tried to kiss me. Teshiro, I don't know how I'm going to deal with him at school.
T: Don't worry. We'll get through this. My teammates are aware of the situation. We'll help you.
F: Okay, thanks Teshi.
T: No problem. Are you good to go?
F: Can you walk me to school?
T: I'll be there bright and early.
F: Thanks. Night Teshi.
T: Night F/n.
CALL ENDED 📳 [📴]
Teshiro sighed in relief. "At least that's over."
"Teshiro."
"Yes?"
"Whatever happens, do not let her wander alone. She needs to stay in the eyeshot of other students or teachers. He's trying to corner her alone."

You were walking alone in the halls. Kuroo was following a distance away, phone in hand. This was your plan to get Light off your back once and for all. Something Teshiro was firmly against. Even you were nervous, but nothing you were doing was getting him off your back. And you couldn't do much without proof of his behaviour.
This was the last attempt to free yourself. Laying a trap with you as the bait. A desperate move of self-sacrifice. Kuroo hoped things wouldn't escalate too quickly.
For your sake.
You passed Light's class, surprised when he saw you. You kept walking, head down.
"F/n," he called. You keep walking pushing him into pursuit.
Kuroo watched him leave his class and silently followed. Light chuckled lowly at your ignorance. "Where are you going, little kitten?"
He calmly walked after you. Kuroo quietly followed behind. He stopped and started recording behind the corner. You had stopped, gazing out the windows.
"F/n, I'm glad I caught up to you."
"Oh, Light? I didn't see you there," you said looking his way.
"Just as usual?"
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have been ignoring you. It was rude on my part," you said, laughing nervously. "How can I make it up to you?"
Light smiled but you felt the malice behind it. Still, you kept your smile.
"Be my girlfriend."
"L-Light? I can't."
"Why? Are you nervous?" He approached you. You stepped back. Each step he took pushed you further back. He stopped when you were cornered on the wall. "Am I repulsive?"
"You're not."
"Than why? Why won't you be mine F/n?"
"I'm not ready..."
"It's because of that boy, isn't it? Teshiro... He's been getting on my nerves lately. So have those pesky volleyball boys. I must say, you know how to attract a crowd." He forcibly turned your head to look at him. "I don't like how they have you all to themselves. What about me? The boy who helped you on your first day. Am I that ｄｉｓｐｏｓａｂｌｅ to you?"
"Light, what are you talking about?" You replied, feeling fear creep up in your stomach.
"F/n, I've been by your side since the beginning. The least you could do is stay with me, ｎｏ?"
You swallowed nervously, throat feeling tight. "Light, what's gotten into you..."
"We've known each other since day one," he said, ignoring her words. "I never once left your side. Isn't it fair you do the same? I would ｌｏｖｅ to have you, kitten. All you have to do is ｓａｙ it. Just one word and we can be together. Doesn't that sound ｌｏｖｅｌｙ ?"
You felt sick to your stomach. He wasn't even listening to what you were saying. "Light, I—"
"ｓｈｈｈ, no need to answer," he said, fingers on your lips. "I already ｋｎｏｗ what you want. I ｋｎｏｗ you too well. You're so shy kitten. I ｋｎｏｗ you ｗａｎｔ ｍｅ."
Your eyes welled with tears. "L-Light, d-don't."
He smiled, leaning down to your ear. "As long as you stay ｑｕｉｅｔ. I promise I'll be ｇｅｎｔｌｅ."

You pushed him, moving out of the way. His hand grabbed your wrist, yanking you back towards him. He trapped you, back against his chest. "Now, now kitten, ｓｔｏｐ ｓｔｒｕｇｇｌｉｎｇ and I'll be ｎｉｃｅ."
His hand firmly held your jaw, forcing you to look back. "You look even ｐｒｅｔｔｉｅｒ when you're ｃｒｙｉｎｇ."
You struggled harder to get out of his grip but it was strong. It hurt. You could feel his breath on your face. His hand exploring your body. "STOP!" You pushed all your weight back, causing you both to fall back. His grip loosened for a moment and you took the chance to run. But his hand caught you again. Luckily, Kuroo came in with other teachers to keep him down.
You sat on the floor, crying, shaking, heaving for air. Kuroo came to your side. You clung to him. "Please tell me it's over."
"I got the recording. You'll be okay."
You felt this relief wash over you. "Thank goodness."

"I can't believe we're graduating. It feels like I was a first-year just last week. This must be how Kuroo felt watching us."
"It does feel unreal."
"Say, Tama-kun? The group is gathering at my house to study later. Want to join?"
"I don't know if I have what it takes to deal with Lev and Inuoka without Yaku."
"It'll be fine. Shibayama and I are there for that reason."
"I guess it won't be too bad then."
"Yes! Oh, I almost forgot. L wants me to bake him some cake. Want to help?"
"Sure, as long as I can ice the cake."
"You mean ice me? I already know what you're planning on doing."
