Chapter 5

Naina is standing on the roof again with a guy. But this time the guy she is standing with is looking like "too good to be true".

He is a handsome guy with amazing physique. He is employed in Indian Army as a Captain and on top of that he is very polite.

Naina is thinking why a guy like him will be interested in her. Agreed he is much older than her but still he deserves much better.

Rajveer was sipping his tea but it's too sweat for his liking. He is observing the girl in his front, she is very young and have a innocence which is rare to find these days.

Rajveer: ahem... Naina..aapki chachi niche kah rahi thi ki aapne abhi kuch din pahle hi apna graduation khatam kia hai.

Naina: han .. vo abhi kuch 6 ..7 mahine hue

Rajveer: hmm. Ek bat puchu Naina? Aap agar jawab nai dena chahe to mat dijiyega

Naina: puchiye.

Rajveer: aap sach much shadi ke lie ready hai? I mean you are quite young so I asked. Aap aage padhai persue nai karna chahti?

Naina sighed and looked down. She didn't know how to answer this question to an almost stranger.

Naina: I wanted to study further but I am also ready for marriage. I know thoda ajeeb answer hai, par I really want to have a family now. My own family.

Rajveer kept looking at her. He understood what she meant. Who can understand the need of a family more than him, or may be she can. He knew Naina lost her parents at an early age. He felt an unknown connection with her.

Rajveer: I can understand. Naina aap janti hai na ki mai army me hu, do you know that we get postings suddenly and sometimes away from family? Will you be ok with that?

Naina looked at him. He is asking her questions, but the honesty with which he is trying to understand her prospective is something she noticed.

Naina: hmm. Aisa aksar hota hai?

Rajveer: nai matlab humesha nai. Par han kai bar we get postings Jahan family ko le jana possible nai hota hai. Its not easy to be a army man's wife.

Naina: Hmm. Humne aise socha nai kabhi.

Rajveer: ok. Fir aapko is bare me sochna chahiye koi bhi faisla lene se pahle. And on that note mujhe kuch aur bhi kahna tha

Naina:  kahiye

Rajveer: Naina mai kisi bhi naye rishte ki shuruat jhuth se nai karna chahta hu. Aur aapke kisi bhi jawab se pahle mai apni zindagi ke kuch sach aapse baatna chahta hu

Naina is feeling overwhelmed. He is really honest till now with her but the way he wanted to tell more is scaring her. But she still nodded him to continue.

Rajveer: I had a past Naina. Aur ye mai islie nai bata raha kyuki past hona koi galat bat hai, par islie batana chahta hu kyuki is past ka impact mere current or future me humesha rahega.

Naina is shocked but she kept listening to him very carefully.

Rajveer: I had a long time relationship. The  only relationship of my life, with my best friend. We had to breakup as she is traveling abroad for treatment. I am still not over her. I am trying to move on par waqt lagega isme.

Naina who kept quite till now finally asked, "aap unke vapas ane ka intzaar nai karenge?"

Rajveer: chahta to tha par usne vo haq bhi mujhse cheen lia. She got engaged few weeks back.

His voice shook while saying this and Naina can realise the hurt which he felt due to her rejection.

Naina: ek bat puchu, are you ready for this?

Rajveer gave her a sad smile, "Pata nahi. Waqt lagega na purane ghaav bharne me. Par ek bat hai ki ek imandar koshish zarur karunga"

Naina kept looking at him for sometime, she can see the honesty and hurt in his eyes. He is clearly hung up upon his ex.

Rajveer: I think aapko sochna chahiye in sabke bare me aur fir koi jawab dijiyega

Naina: mujhse yahan koi jawab nai mangega.

Rajveer understood the complete situation of her. He realised that he is putting her in a very tough spot so he thought of an idea.

Rajveer: ok let's do one thing. I will ask some time to give an answer to this alliance meanwhile you can think about it. Jab jawab mil jaye yo mujhe bata dena mai apna jawab de dunga

Naina: aur mai aapko apna jawab kaise dungi?

Rajveer took out his pen a wrote his number on her hand. Naina shivered lightly on his touch which got noticed by Rajveer. He didn't let on this to not make Naina conscious.

Rajveer: call me as many times as you want before making a decision. Agar tumhara jawab na hua to mai na apni taraf se kah dunga.

Naina gave a small smile, how easily he made this situation a bit easy for her. But then she realised something.

Naina: aur agar mera jawab han hua to?

Rajveer looked at her intently, "mai apna jawab de dunga Naina"

Naina: aur aapka jawab kya hai?

Rajveer smiled at her, his smile is contagious she felt. It immediately made everything around it feel better.

Rajveer: mera jawab han hai Naina. I am also looking for the same thing as you. "Mera apna koi"

With this he started to move downstairs signalling her to follow.
