"Hum Ne Dekhi Hai In Aankhon
Ki Mehakti Khushboo
Haath Se Chhuke Ise
Rishton Ka Ilzaam Na Do
Sirf Ehsaas Hai Ye Rooh Se Mehsus Karo
Pyar Ko Pyar Hi Rehne Do Koi Naam Na Do"

Waves are coming with their full force and then disintegrating upon colliding with the stones. Moon light is making everything more beautiful and surreal.

With their legs hanging on big plateform, Naina and Rajveer are witnessing the magic of the beautiful scene unfolding before them.

They are sitting facing the sea on marine drive. The sticky salty air is making their hearts light. Both of them sat there for a while just taking in the endlessness.

"Samandar ki lahre jab chattano se takrati hai to vo aawaz bahut khubsurat hoti hai na", Rajveer said after some time.

"Hmm. Kitna alag hai na ye sab Kochi se. Samandar to vahan bhi tha aur yahan bhi, par koi mel nahin hai na", Naina said with an amazed smile on her face.

Rajveer just feel her smile have bewitching properties. How her one smile can make everything feels alright, he thought while shaking his head.

"Thanks, hume yahan lekar ane ke lie. Infact tumne jo bhi kia aj rat. You don't need to", Naina said.

Rajveer frowned at the absence of her smile.

"Normally hum apni cravings control kar lete hai par aj pata nai kya hua tha hume", Naina added.

"Naina....it's fine", Rajveer said looking in her eyes. Naina can see the sincerity reflecting in his eyes.

"Vaise tumko vo pizza shop ke bare me kaise pata chala", Naina asked to divert the topic.

Rajveer chuckled, "Naveen lekar aya tha mujhe yahan. IPL match ke bad, wankhede se pass me hai na".

"Naveen Bhaiya", Naina muttered his name.

"Uske sath hi maine life me sahi mayno me masti ki hai. Shuru se hostel aur dad ke bich me kabhi waqt aur mouka hi nahi mila ki bachpane me sahi shaitaniyan karu....", Rajveer said by staring at sea.

"Bachpan se aapke papa aise hi the?", Naina asked.

"Aise hi matlab?", Rajveer asked.

Naina felt that she has overstepped but then he smiled.

"My dad was always like this. Abusive and pompous. Shayad jab se mujhe yad hai dad ne kabhi mujhe pyar se 2 shabd nahin kahe honge. Still at least I don't have to stay with him all year. Hostel jakar kam se kam ghar se ek respite milta tha. Mom ko to vo bhi naseeb nai tha", Rajveer told her.

"Vo us din kyu aye the? Kyuki humne divorce le lia?", Naina asked.

"Pata nahin. But I think it's due to some official issue. Koi investigation chal rahi hai shayad un par", Rajveer said.

Both haven't said anything for sometime staring at the dark sea gleaming in moonlight and after light of city.

This is what Rajveer missed about their marriage most. She have some kind of positive energy around her which makes him at peace. Even staying silent with her is never boring. They never felt the need to fill every moment with words. Sitting here with her brought all those memories of their initial days of marriage.

"Agar mai aj fir tumse maafi mangi, sacche dil se to kya maaf kar payogi mujhe", Rajveer asked.

She stared at him. She sensed it coming from a while but never prodded him for the same.

She didn't replied anything and kept staring at him for few moments.

"Bhaiya Chai??", their moment was broken from the voice of a small boy who is selling tea.

Naina smiled at the little boy, "acha de do lai. Do cup dena".

Boy smiled and poured the tea.

"Ye lo didi"

"Kya nam hai tumhara?", Naina asked.

"Ravi nam hai mera didi", he replied with a beautiful smile.

"School jate ho tum?", Naina asked.

"Jata hu na. Abhi chai bechta hu taki fees ke paison me maa ki kuch madad kar payu", Ravi told.

"Aur baba ?", Naina asked.

"Vo ...", suddenly the shine got lost from the boy's face. "Vo kya karega...daru pee kar jo kamata hai vo bhi uda deta hai. Abhi fees deni hai aur maa thodi bimar hai islie mai hi.."

Rajveer was listening to him intently. He took a five hundred rupee note to hand him in.

"Nahi bhaiya...mai bheekh nai leta. Apni mehnat se kamayunga mai", Ravi said. Hurt is significant in his voice.

But Naina cradled his face in her hands, "ye bheekh nahin hai Ravi. Jab tum bade ho jayoge na tab inko vapas kar dena. Abhi in paison se apni fees bhar lo".

"Par mai aapko dhundhunga kaise", he asked with curiosity.

"Jaise aj dhundha tha na vaise hi", Naina said patting his head.

His face shined with happiness and he clutched the note in his hands.

"Thank you", he said and ran away, clearly his target is closed.

Naina smiled looking at him while Rajveer looked at his retreating figure.

"Kitna samajhdar hai na. I hope ki kuch madad hui ho uski. Kaisa Baap hai uska, bache ki koi fikar hi nai?", Naina said and turned to see colour fading from Rajveer's face.

She kept her hand on his and he hold onto it.

"I am sorry...vo humne", Naina tried to say but he shakes his head in no.

"Naina...don't say sorry plz. Sach kah rahi ho tum ki vo baccha kitna samajhdar hai. Kash mai bhi itna samajhdaar hota. Kash us waqt maine us situation se bhagne ki jagah use face kia hota...bas har waqt bhagta hi raha hu mai....", Rajveer said while wiping a stray tear.

Naina is listening intently, her hand still in his grip. She gently pulled her hand free.

"Hum ye nahin kah sakte Rajveer ki hum aapko maaf kar denge par hum ye bhi nahin kah rahe ki ki koi ummeed hi nahin hai", Naina said averting her gaze towards the sea again.

"It's more than what I deserve", Rajveer replied looking down.
