Naina is sitting with Amar, having her lunch.
Amar: so how is living with your ex feels like?
Naina gave a look to him. He chuckled. Naina is living with Rajveer from past one week which is marked with his various attempts to care for her and Naina's attempts to stay away from him.
Naina looked at Amar incredulously, "has lo tum. Bahut maza aa rahi hai na meri halat dekh kar"
Amar: are nai yar. I am just imagining the situation where is is always roaming behind you and you are avoiding him. It would be damn funny to witness that.
Naina smacked her head, "I swear yar. Matlab subah se he starts ki mai ye kar du...vo kar du...chai..nashta..kabhi lunch...pak gai hu mai ...sach me"
Amar laughed out loud. She hit him over his arm, "has mat. Help me na"
"Are...kyu na hasu...it's damn funny", Amar said.
Naina put her head down on table due to exasperation.
"Acha ek bat bata, tune is arrangement ke lie agree kyu kia tha? Bilkul sach batana?", Amar asked.
"Pata nai yar. Shayad na us waqt mujhe laga ki itni aasani se use kyu aazadi mile in sab se? He made my life so complicated so he should suffer too", Naina confessed but avoid meeting his eyes.
"it's understandable", Amar replied lost in some thoughts.
"Tum soch rahe honge ki how stupid of me", Naina said looking up at him. Her eyes have a little shadow of guilt in them.
Amar put his hand over her, "on the contrary I was thinking that how brave of you to confess this to me. Naina I won't judge you. Friends don't do that"
Naina smiled at him, "thanks. But even I know it's stupid of me"
"That's very true. It's stupid. Acha ek bat bata tu usko punish karne ka kaise plan kar rahi hai? Bacche ki susu potty saf karva ke?", Amar asked
Both of them laughed on it.
"Honestly speaking, I haven't thought this through", Naina acknowledged.
"I suppose so. But fir plan kya hai?", asked Amar.
"Pata nai yar. Kabhi kabhi sochti hu to ask him that he should move out par kabhi bol hi nai pati", Naina replied lost in her own confusion.
"You are still not over him, right", Amar said.
Naina looked up at him with an expression of guilt, "pata nai yar...I mean I hate him.."
"Par hatred is not opposite of love. You know this, right", Amar replied
"I know. Aisa lagta hai jaise kuch adhura ho ab bhi. Jaise I need some...some..", Naina struggled to find the word to explain her situation.
"Need some closure", Amar replied wisely.
"Han..exactly", Naina acknowledged.
Naina looked at Amar for few seconds, "I am sorry"
"Kyu?", He asked.
"Sometimes I feel ki ...", Naina contemplated how to finish her sentence
"I like you?", Amar replied without any glitch in his voice.
"Do you?", Naina asked
"I do. But don't worry, I have long back decided not to act on it", Amar replied
"Can I ask why?", Naina asked looking at floor unable to meet his eyes.
"Because this is too messed up, Naina. Nothing good would come out of it, if I get involved as well. I have learnt my lesson long back to not get involved with complicated situations", Amar replied honestly.
"Hmm", Naina replied.
"Nainaaaa....you are a dear friend of mine. But currently you are still stuck in your past. You need clarity there and then you have a baby coming. You have enough to figure out before adding another human being to this equation. Is waqt you need a friend who has no expectations and that's what I would be to you", Amar explained her as he would do in similar situations with their other cases.
Naina smiled gratefully at him.
"And as per your other need for closure. I have a suggestion", Amar added mischievously
"Kya?", Naina asked eagerly
"Truce. Peace treaty", Amar replied with twinkling eyes.
"Matlab?", Naina asked scrunching her eyes.
"Matlab he wanted to help right. To let him. Divide responsibilities and let him do his chores. Isse you can have your space other time", Amar replied
"Hmm..", Naina replied thoughtfully
"Are lekin ek bat bata ...he had an weirdo ex also na? Uska kya hua?", Amar asked
"She left him...apparently she is not ok with him getting involved with the baby", Naina replied with no expressions.
"Well..serves him right", Amar muttered.
Naina heard it and chuckled. Amar joined her.
