Jordan's pov
I had just smashed this guys head into my knee when i heard Xeph over the earpiece. Since Aryia has been out of it i didn't let him risk himself anymore than he already did. Meaning i went down with Jake to clear the left hall. "J we have a problem." I heard as i blasted two other dudes at the end of the hall, running towards the last on my side. "What kind of problem?" I asked, teleporting behind him to kick his inner knee, making him jerk forward giving me the chance to bash his head into the flooring. "Like you might want to come over to see it." I looked over at Jake, him sweating like a pig. Times like this were in greatful i got my hormones injected out of me. "You go, i got it here." Not wasting time, i bolted down the hall. Might as well take down anyone i came across on my way. I flipped some guys, blasting others until i got to the office. "Whats the p-" Im caught in my own words with the person standing there, Xepher and Griffin not moving an inch. "Leave me with him." They scatter out, the room empty with just me and an old friend. 'Friend' i wouldn't even consider it that. Just someone that didn't feel like beating me senseless when i was here. "Hey Sky's, hows it holding up?" I sat down in my original spot, the one i sat when David would want to show me his plans, or just straight up brag to me about whatever came to mind. "Hey Max, long time no see."
Colbys pov
I shoved him against the wall but i'm flung by my waist, hitting my head against the bricks. "Why are you fighting with me, i'm just like you!" I teleported behind him, holding him in a choke hold as his hands tugged at my arm. "I have job." He mumbled. No English, got it. This brought me back to old Jordan. But she knew David was bad. This guy just wanted a place to live. A home. He has one yes, but he's being treated like shit. He grabbed me from behind and flung me to the other side of the room with a thud. "Anyone free?" I whispered into my mic, holding the back of my head. Yes i know my ego was strong at first. But im kinda regretting taking this position up right now. I got back on my feet, running up to him just as he pulled against his own chains, snapping them as they cut along his skin. Probably one of the grossest things i've seen all day. "Gimmie a sec." I heard, making me crack a smile through my bloody teeth. I had to teleport in front and behind him constantly just to get some punches in. Uppercutting him one second before hitting behind his knees another. I felt like i was just getting some good hits before i was flung by any sort of metal on me, bashing my head against the wall once more. Migraines were about to hurt ten times more than usual and i can already smell my lack of sleep.
Jordan's pov
I walked out of David's office, alone. And i told Xepher and Griffin they could go back in. "Where did he go?" They asked as they looked behind me. "Home." I responded. Max was no harm to me, or anyone to that matter. He was the only person i had here that cared about my well being. Well, except Mary. I told Max to call the fight off, which he refused numerous times. "No i can't Jordan he'll just go after me then, and my family." He was so frustrated it was making my own head hurt, until i heard Colby over the line. "Okay, then don't call it off. Go home." "What?" He asked, cocking his eyebrow. "Go home Max, you have a family. We can get through this." I didn't give him time to respond after that, because i knew my friends were in danger. "Thank you for keeping me on my feet." I smiled, before teleporting him out. I didn't know where he lived, so i just put him passed the car, so he could get a head start. I ran down the halls, not hesitating to blast whoever came in my way. "We have a problem up in training." I was about to go up to Taras calls, but i couldn't let Colbys life more at risk than it already was. "Brennen!" I ran over to him, who was just coming back from the right hallway with Mike. "What's up gorgeous?" He said, fixing his hair. "Training room, whatever it is deal with it okay? If it's medication, destroy it. Paperwork, anything like that burn it to a crisp." He nodded, floating his way up to the upper floor with a breeze. I teleported into one room, hoping Colby was in it, and to my surprise it wasn't. Instead i saw Sam fighting with the girl as she went from wall to wall, both of them taking punches. I noticed a pattern she was going in constantly, and Sam wasn't catching on. "Pentagon." I walked up to a wall, waiting for her to reach it. And when she did i was ready, my fist locking into her face as she flew back, stunned. Sam looked at me with a jaw dropping look, before she sprung up again. "Pentagon!" I yelled before teleporting into the other room quickly. Right when i got to the other room my gaze quickly went to Colby, my eyes widening in fear, anger, confusion. So many emotions at once. "Watch out!" He groaned, pushing me out of the way harshly as he took a punch to the stomach for me with a groan. "Oh cheese." I whispered, holding my hand over my mouth. It hurt me seeing him get hurt, but then again the anger fueled me for another round. "C'mon big guy, you and me. Let's dance." I teleported to Colby right when he got close enough, holding him in a bear hug that shielded both of us. "What are you doing? You're going to get hurt." He scolded, holding me. I noticed the bloody mess he was, making my heart ache in pain. "Just sit this one out for a bit, okay?" My tone seemed to soothe him, he wasn't buying my shit at all, but he trusted me. I knew that. "Okay." He nodded, his eyes dropping slightly. "Stay alive for me. I'm not loosing you... again" I said more than asked as i looked at the tired boy who just took a beating for me. "You can't get rid of me." I smiled at him and his stupid remarks he always made, but it was cute. And i'm not even going to lie, the blood was a good look on him. I felt a hard pounding over my barrier, making me groan in annoyance. I forced hit out, throwing the guy back harshly as he hit the other side of the wall. "What the fuck dude? I was trying to have a moment." He didn't answer, but i saw anger flow through him as he charged at me. "Oh gosh." I whispered, teleporting to the other side of the room, blocking Colby in his spot as the guy ran into the forcefield. Colby laid down on the floor, his cheek pressed against the cold floor. "Stay awake for me Brock." I yelled, blasting the dude from the side of his neck. He groaned, charging at me with a wicked grin on his face. "Oh hell yeah!" I screamed, pushing my legs against the wall to throw my upwards, wrapping my legs around his head. I stayed up instead of throwing him down to get a few hits in, but this mans head was literally like steel. He threw me off like a rag doll, knocking the air out of me. I got my gun drawn from me, fucking metal. And the bullets flew out of them all at once like mad fire, going left and right. I flew whichever came directly at me with a wave of my hand before dodging the other ones. He stopped for a second, noticing my gift was remotely similar to his. "I'm just like you." I took a step closer to him as his face softened slightly before turning stone cold again. I couldn't even back up before a flying piece of metal came flying into my face. I held my arm up, the metal cutting my cast off clean before ricocheting off and into another wall. The cut was so clean, my cast could've fell off if it went all the way through, probably even cutting through my arm. "Awe dude i just got this on." I flung him into the wall hard and with all my strength. Perhaps too hard considering he flew through it. The wall crumbled where he was, the cracks going up to the ceiling. I directed my eyes back to the floor, where he stood up quickly, before dashing away. "Shit." I mumbled, running after him. I'm stopped by running into that familiar body that towered down me. "Oof," i huffed, pulling my body away from Colbys. "Don't go." It was almost like he was begging me not to go after him. But i couldn't let him get away. "The jobs not done." I whispered, before turning my mic on in my earpiece. "Devyn you busy?" "No i just loaded the last nurse on the bus thats heading to the agency, why you need me?" I sighed out in relief, turning back to Colby who has a sad look over him. "Come help Colby." I said before turning my mic back off, and stroking his face with my thumb. "I won't be long." He leaned over, kissing the top of my head gently, like he was hurting himself in the process. "Don't leave me crazy." He smiled at me weakly, his eyes dropping again. "Never. Stay safe, you wouldn't want your pretty face messed up." He didn't know i was slowly cleaning his face up by just touching him, but i hoped Devyn could do more intense help. "Pretty." He giggled before i walked away, shaking my head at him. I looked back for a second, before running out the gap in the wall.
