Jordan's pov
We piled in the twenty seater before driving off, me sitting next to Aryia on the seat closest to the edge. "They seriously aren't going to let me leave the car?" I asked below a whisper. He rested his hand on my knee, lowering himself down to my ear. "Not my choice short stack, couldn't change the bosses mind if i wanted to." I smiled slightly to hide the anger in me, but couldn't help but huff out slightly. I hated being benched. And this was the first time it was happening to me! I leaned onto Aryia, already dreading this mission. Somehow, i will get to get my ass in that fight. Without a doubt. I knew the group were no match to what was behind the doors of that hell hound, but they were strong. Stronger than anyone i've ever met. I guess they could take them down, and i was just scared. Scared to lose the only think i had to a family. When we got to a close distance to the place i couldn't help but look out the window and think to myself that this was my home at one point. Even the other place. This was still where i lived. Where i was fed, even if i hated it. Everyone pilled out of the car, thankfully we were at a safe distance to where you couldn't see us if we where too noisy. I didn't move when i got passed on their way out the back, but before Aryia left he hugged me, giving me the slightest comfort. When Cassie came around she nudged me, a smile on her face. Then Colby came around, his hand going around to my face, stroking with his thumb. "Stay safe." He whispered as he winked at me. "Not like i can go anywhere anyway." I felt like he knew i was lying right then, because instead of telling me something to get my hopes up, he scrunched his eyebrows. "Uh huh, sure." Before i could respond, Jake made his way through, giving Colby a weird look before handing me something. "Just in case." He said, keeping his eyes on me. I looked down, noticing the gun in his hands that gave me a better hope on the situation. "I appreciate this, thank you." With the undying urge inside of me to just run and start letting bullets fly from me, i kept my gaze away from the gun. He nodded, before motioning to the crew. "You think you can get us in?" Jake asked as Colby helped me to my feet. "As long as i have no blockage yeah." "Turning the field off as we speak." I heard Sirena yell from the front seat, that i gave barley any acknowledgement to. "Once it turns off an alarm will most likely sound, so be ready when i let you guys in." I announced to everyone, who nodded back. "On your queue Sirena." Colby yelled. "Now!" I held my hand up, quickly making portals around small groups the gang made, dropping them in. Before i let Colby go i looked up at him, a small smile on my face. He leaned up, kissing the top of my head with a smile. "Stay out of trouble Jet." "Always Brock." I smiled, dropping him in. I appreciated him watching over me, but what he didn't know was that i wasn't exactly sane right now. Because right now, my inner weapon was taking over me. And the sound of gunshots over the earpiece wasn't any help. I would be able to keep calm right now if nobody bothered me. But of course there was always someone. "Hey Jordan... i know we aren't on good terms but i really don't think you should go out there today. And i think-" Honestly that was the last thing i heard from Sirena before bolting out the back door. I couldn't handle it, the thought of my friends dying while i was stuck here, so i left. It wasn't even half an hour since they left and i already broke. "Hey!" I heard her call out, it echoed between what i heard and through the earpiece. "Oh lord Jordan is this about you?" I heard before a loud crashing sound came from the background. I stopped behind a tree, keeping a distance from the inside of the base and to the car. "Uh no, why do you ask?" I lied, sneaking into the place quietly. "Oh my goodness." I heard Colby sigh before everyone went back to what they were doing. "Trust me, you guys need my help." I whispered, hiding behind a tank. "Where are you?" Jake whispered back before the whole place went quiet. "Near the front entrance." Aryia said quietly. "Snitch." I responded. "She's not wrong though, we need her help. We're getting ripped apart here." Colby added, a few gunshots going off. Before i knew it someone snapped behind me, making me cock my head towards them. "Hey Colby hows it going?" I asked with a half smile. He pulled me aside so he was in front of me, before taking out both our earpieces. "What are you-" He shushed me, putting his finger over my lips. I scrunched my eyebrows, getting pissed off for some magical reason and removing his hand from my face. "I'm not going to lie to you, we need you." I smiled shortly, holding in my excitement. "But not just you." He added, putting his hands on my shoulders. "Who?" I asked, slowly taking his hands off my shoulders as he broke out a smile. "I'm gonna need her." He pointed his finger into my chest, and it took me a while to understand what he was saying. He didn't just want me to be in the fight. Colby wanted the monster; The Reaper. I smiled, cracking my knuckles before folding my hands over my chest. "So? What do you say? Wanna let Reaper out for some fun?" His words flowed out of his mouth like butter, fueling me. This time i put my hand on his shoulder, tilting my head slightly. "Colby, i am The Reaper. You can't get rid of a part of me, The Reaper is not an it or a thing. I'm just, me." I shook my head, trying to re frase my words. "What i mean is, the monster never left. I was just never let it out." He smiled with me, taking my hand off of his shoulder in the same way i do, making me smile. "Not monster, anything but monster." He corrected. "Crazy?" I asked, my eyes traveling his face. "Chaotic." He responded, his eyes burning into mine. With just the look Colby was giving me made me know he heard what David said to me in the hospital. Or even if Aryia told him. "Chaotic, i like it." I said smiling. He nodded, and kissed my cheek, taking me by surprise. "Then go in there, and kick some ass. You wickedly chaotic badass, let it out." I felt the rush just then, the flare in my body. The urge to beat some ass. Colby saw the flare, because his smile rose to his ears, encouraging me. "Let's go then." I stood up quickly, my natural purple-red flare showing off as i let loose. This was about to be a fight of a lifetime.
