Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."
Acts 2:38
Repenting is difficult for some; it is the vanity of man - some think they have done nothing wrong. Getting down on your knees before the Father and admitting guilt should be easy, "Father, please forgive me, I am a sinner." With this admission, I am gonna try to do better and not sin.
Now comes the tough part - walking the chosen path. You have to live a life that pleases God. No matter how hard you try, your life in the flesh will never totally please God. I just strive not to displease Him, and do as He asks.
God is in control, so let Him be in control - I know this pleases Him. It can get tricky, the Spirit and the flesh, so ask God for help. He will listen and wants to help. Tell God you love Him.
The LORD bless you and keep you;
The LORD make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The LORD lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.
Love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.
