Do not speak in the hearing
of a fool,
For he will despise your the
wisdom of your words.

Many hear but do listen. Listening is the process of understanding, or trying to understand what you are hearing. Many, without understanding, will smile and nod their heads.
Without understanding, many become angry or agitated by what you say. It becomes a battle of who is right, and they (the fools) will always think they are right. God is the only one who is always right. So -
Apply your heart to
instruction,
And your ears to words of
knowledge.
Proverbs 23:12
Tell God that you love Him.
The LORD bless you and keep you;
The LORD make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The LORD lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.
Love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.
