     And He was withdrawn from them about a stone's throw, and He knelt down and prayed,
     saying, "Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done."
               Luke 22:41,42

     I must be missing something, after that passage from Mark 14 (yesterday). At least God didn't have me open to the same verse :-) Hmmm... thinking ... thinking ...
     He knew that God wouldn't take the cup away from Him, so why ask. This is in the Bible for many reasons. Now, if I can only figure them out, at least some of them -

#1. Jesus was doing God's will.
#2. The flesh is weak.

     I am gonna stop there, because those reasons are what immediately popped into my head. God shows us what to do and how to do it, exactly, through Jesus.
     There are many things that we don't want to do for God, just like Jesus. We need to commit and do them. Don't try to rationalize them, which is extremely hard, but rather do God's will.
     Could this be directed at me? It usually is - I am doing something wrong. This is why we need to ask God. His overall path for us doesn't change, but we can misstep.
     Went to the 6:30 a.m. at Salvation Mountain; and needless to say, I was disappointed. I think it is from the teacher in me. From a small group (about 10 people) I would like to interact more. What does the sacrifice of Jesus mean to you?
     Do you honestly believe that Jesus was conceived by Mary through the Holy Spirit? Do you honestly believe that Jesus was resurrected from the dead? These are tough questions that need to be addressed. You may wonder - do I believe?
     First of all, I believe in the Word of God and know that God can do anything He wants.  I still don't totally understand His ways, and just accept the fact that God has His reasons. Saying you believe and actually believing can be separate things.
     God led me here for a reason. Search your heart, and if you say you believe, make sure you mean it. And you can happily answer this question with a big fat yes -

"Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?"
                      Luke 18:8

Tell God you love Him!

The LORD bless you and keep you;
The LORD make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The LORD lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.

Love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.
