There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord.
And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all.
But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:
for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit,
to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit,
to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.
But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.
1 Corinthians 12:4-11
God grants us all these gifts.
I ask for some of these gifts all the time - wisdom, knowledge, faith, not so much as prophecy, miracles, or speaking in tongues. I figure God will work through me when He wants to, or when the time is right.
The one that is missing, and the one I seek, is understanding. I really what to understand as much as I can. I do know why God doesn't let me understand - He does in His time.
Believers are all granted gifts by God. True believers and the trully faithful. God knows our hearts. Tell God you love Him.
The LORD bless you and keep you;
The LORD make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The LORD lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.
Love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.
