WHAT A HOOT (2nd short story)

The Owl and The Pussycat - Both characters originate in a 'nonsense poem' from Edward Lear's 1871 book 'Nonsense Songs, Stories, Botany and Alphabets.' The tale of these two anthropomorphic animals has grown popular with many retellings. In the Mythlands it's revealed that both characters are male and have been in a loving gay relationship for over seven decades.

The Owl is a senior member of the board at MCI, responsible, among other duties for trade delegations with other lands. He recently opened negotiations at the Cair Paravel summit with isolationist Narnia.

In appearance he is about five and a half feet tall, blocky with tawny feathering and green eyes, usually wearing business apparel, a bow tie and horn rimmed glasses.

The Pussycat's occupation (if he has one) is so far unrevealed. He is a bit taller than his partner and slim with black fur. They are both uprights who walk on two legs and wear clothes.
