big time rush was ahead of its time and is underrated

"good morning Shawn," Debra said giving me a soft smile.

"morning." i said giving her a toothless smile as i walked by the front desk. i walked along the tiles until i stopped at the room 143.

i opened the door to see her pale body covered by the scratchy hospital blanket. i took a deep breath and walked in. i sat down in the uncomfortable chair beside her bed.

"good morning," i said as i replaced the wilting red roses from the slender glass vase with pink roses. "i brought your favorite." i said before sitting down and taking her cold hand in mine.

her beautiful eyes were hidden behind her eyelids, the usual pink lips were now taken over by white, her hair wasn't in its usual curly state, but it was now flat. she still looked beautiful, it just wasn't the girl that she was.

"today marks a month since the accident," i said sighing, "ava is doing great, she started school and is loving her class. you should of seen her on the first day of school. i tried my best to pick out the cutest outfit," i laughed a little and looked down at our hands, "she asked when you were coming home and i told her soon."

i paused for a minute afraid to speak. i didn't want my voice to crack. i wipes my eyes that were brimming with tears. "i hope you come home soon. god i miss having you to hold and kiss goodnight, i miss your cheesy jokes that i secretly think are really funny, i miss our deep conversations, and you cheering me on from the front row at the concerts," i took a sharp breath in before continuing, "wake up please." I begged. Tears flowed down my cheeks as I brought her hand to my lips and closed my eyes tightly.

"I need you, Ava needs you," I said trying to hold back the sobs, "we need you." i said opening my eyes and letting go of her cold frail hand.

i covered my face with the palm of my hands and let out all of the emotions I have been trying to hide for the past month. She can't leave us. I can't live without her, Ava can't grow up without a mom.

"Shawn," her raspy soft voice filled my ears making it feel like the world stopped spinning. Her eyes met my bloodshot ones making my heart race. I wrapped my arm around her and held her close to me.

"I love you so much." I said as hugged me tighter.

1 week later

"Mommy!" Our 4 year old daughter yelled as she ran towards y/n with her arms wide open.

"Honey," She said bending down and picking her up. I placed my hand on the middle of her back as she hugged out beautiful daughter.  "I love you." She said placing a kiss on her rosy cheeks.

"I love you too." Ava said wrapping small her arms around her neck.

I smiled and held both of them in my arms, happy that our family was healthy and together again.

This really sucks omg but ughhh
