We lost such a powerful and amazing person yesterday.  Even if you didn't like him, someone lost a son, or a best friend. Rip X 💔

I took a deep breath and looked into the body mirror. My hair was curled down to the middle of my back, mascara made my eyes pop, and pink glossy covered my plump lips. The sound of a horn honking made my jump. I grabbed my phone and ran downstairs.

I didn't recognize the car, so I figured it was Shawn's. I climbed into the back of the black Jeep.

"Hey girl." Maddy said whipping her head around causing her straight blonde hair to flow.

"Hey." I said letting out a breath of air as I stretched the seat belt across my chest.

"I'm surprised you wanted to come, you never go to parties." Maddy said turning back around and looking in the mirror as she applied lipstick .

"I was bored." I shrugged and looked out of the window. I was trying my best not to look at Shawn. I saw that he was wearing a leather jacket and his brown curly locks were styled messily on his head. He looked great. I mentally cursed at myself for even thinking he looked attractive.

"You okay y/n?" Shawn asked making me look up from my hands.

"Yeah." I sent him a soft smile and he nodded before turning his attention back on to the road.

I scrolled through Instagram to seem like I was doing something. With in 10 minutes we were at a big house that was surrounded by cars. I followed behind Maddy and Shawn as they walked up to the house.

The smell of weed and alcohol filled my nose. The whole house was cloudy due to all the smoke. Their were people everywhere with red solo cups in their hands. Maddy found a friend and started to talk while Shawn stood their awkwardly.

"I'm going to get a drink." I told her over the loud music. She just nodded without breaking eye contact with the girl she was talking to.

"I'm going to also." Shawn said making my heart beat faster. He walked beside me as we made our way through the crowd to the kitchen. Their were cold coke cans in the fridge so I grabbed one, Shawn did the same.

"You're not going to drink?" I asked confused as I opened the can.

"No, I'm not big on drinking , plus I have to drive." Shawn shrugged as he brought the can to his lips.

"Me neither. I hate alcohol." I said cringing just at the thought of the bitter liquid.

"Then why did you come?" He asked with a small smile.

"Uh," i cleared my throat and shrugged, "I needed to get out of the house."

He nodded and brought drank his soda.

Shawn and I carried out a simple conversation as we just stood the kitchen. I hadn't even noticed we had been in here for so long until I looked at the clock on the stove. Shawn and I had been talking for a little over an hour.

"Baby," maddy's high pitched voice said walking over to Shawn. She fell into his chest causing Shawn to wrap his arms around her quickly. She looked up at him with a goofy smile, "how about we get out of here and go somewhere," her fingers traced up his white tee, "just us." Shawn swallowed hard.

"Okay, just let me take y/n home, alright?" Shawn asked. She turned around and faced me. She poked her lip out like she was pouting but nodded.

"I'll come back by and pick you up, just have some fun." Shawn said putting his drink down and grabbing his keys out of his pocket.

"Um," he rubbed the back of his neck nervously.

"Don't, let's just go." I said before making my way out of the house. I hopped into Shawn's Jeep and leaned into the seat. He started the car as I put my seatbelt on. The ride was almost completely silent other than the soft music and me telling him where to go occasionally.

He came to a stop outside of my house. I took off my seatbelt and reached for the door handle. As my fingers touched the cool handle Shawn said my name making me shiver.

"I'm sorry about tonight. Maddy is drunk off her ass and needs to go home." Shawn said shaking his head with a small smile.

"She tends to do that." I said meeting his brown eyes. His smile that he had on his face slowly faded as he looked up and down from my eyes to my lips. My breathing was caught in my throat and I felt as if the Jeep was so small. Shawn's face inches closer to mine and although I knew I shouldn't have placed my lips on his I did it anyways. His lips moved along with mine slowly and passionately. His hands found my hips as mine found his face.

In that moment I wasn't worried about anything.
