Avery's P. O. V
Joel prepared a very nice romantic dinner date and I swear I felt like crying. No one has ever done something like this for me, the guy that did something as sweet as this ignored me for weeks. I just hope Joel is different. Why do I still have faith in love? Maybe Mil is right he is genuine, it won't kill me to accept him? Okay, Avery stop dreaming he has been asking you out since but you refused, how do you think he will ask you to be his girlfriend again?.
"Do you like it?", Joel asked as if he wasn't sure I would like it. Which girl in her right senses won't?.
"Like it? I love it. Its amazing", I said smiling.
There are roses on the floor which forms love. There are two chairs and a table in a little but classy restaurant. His parent must be rich for him to rent this building just for us. Seems his mom planned all this, cause he can't be this romantic.
" I am glad you love it. Can we sit?",Joel asked.
"Nope,can you just dance first. I am in the mood for a slow music", I said and he smiled.
Joel stretched out his hands,I put my tiny hands in his and he pulled me into his chest. His hands rested on my waist and my hands clasped his neck as I rested my head on his chest. We danced to the beat of the song till the song ended.
So I and Joel went back to our table, we ate,drank and chatted.
Few minutes later, Joel said," Can I ask you a question? And please don't be rude to me".
"Sure,I won't be rude to you. Tell me", I said.
He went down on his knees and took my hand in his, saying,"I know this will be the tenth time I am asking you this question and I get the same answer over again but I won't give up till I have you, cause I genuinely love you and I will try my best not to hurt you. I know its hard to forget about Seb but I promise to never make the mistake he made which was ignoring an amazing girl like you. Please Avery Adebisi (he sighed and continued) will you be my girlfriend?".
Take that you mind, he loves me enough to never give up on me.
" Yes, I will",I said and I saw a very big smile on Joel's face, a smile I have never seen before and I felt happy I made someone this happy .
He stood up and hugged me so tight I would have choked to death if he hadn't pulled away. When he finally pulled away he kissed me on the lips and whispered into my ears,"I love you" and I smiled.

"Can we not tell the rest we are dating now?", Joel told me as we drove home.
" Why?",I asked looking at him.
"Well,I want to surprise them. We will break the amazing news to them over dinner", he smiled.
" Okay, I am on board. Mil will scream so loud that my ears will be begging her to shut up",I said and Joel laughed.
"I don't know why you girls scream so much", he smiled.
" Not all the time though but that's how we express our joy",I said .
"Hmmmm", he said.
Few minutes later.
" We are home ",he said.
I was about opening the car door before he stopped me and told me to relax, so I relaxed like he said. He came down from the car and came to open the door for me. He took my hand in his and drew me out of the car gently and then closed his car door.
" Thanks",I said.
"For what? I will escort to your door so no worries", he said.
" But -",he cut me short.
"No buts I will escort you to your door. I want to make sure you arrive home safely.", he said.
" Fine but I hope this care and love won't fade away ",I blurted out. When I realised what I have said I covered my mouth and said," Shit, I didn't mean -"
"Shhhh, I understand. I promise you that such love and care won't fade away. I love you okay?", he said and I nodded feeling relieved.
" So shall we?",he asked and I nodded.
When we got to the door, Joel knock on the door and waited for a response. As we waited for Mil or Angel to open the door Joel kissed me. The door opened and we saw Angel looking at us....... Damn, and we planned to keep it a secret for now, so much for wanting to keep this a secret.
"Goodbye ", he said and pecked my cheeks.
" Take good care of her for me,okay?",Joel said and Angel nodded sluggishly, Joel left.
"What was that all about?", Angel asked, giving me that confused look.
" Well, we kissed. Please don't tell Mil, if you tell her she will make an issue out of nothing.",I begged.
She waited for a while before nodding her head,'Fine but I will keep it a secret if you tell me what's actually going on between you both?",she said putting her hand on her waist.
"What's going on there? Are you guys planning on selling me?", Mil joked
"I will tell you but not now ", I promised.
" Fine",she said and I smiled hugging her tight, then I let go
I entered, put my hand bag on the bed, pulled off my shoes and then my clothes. When I was done pulling my cloth I tied a towel.
"How was it?", Mil asked looking at me.
" It was amazing. He is really romantic, you need to see the decorations.",I smiled.
"And he didn't come in to say hi", Mil said.
" They had too much fun that why he forgot ",Angel said.
" When you went on a date with Charles, did he come in to say hi?. No, so leave Joel alone ",I said. Mil and Angel looked at me.
" Did you just defend Joel?",Mil asked.
"Maybe", I said as I left for the bathroom to avoid more questions
