Chapter 47 No Clue

Spencer's POV

I paced the police station not sure what to do. I couldn't think. Her dog, Eliot just watched me. I knew he was worried to, I just couldn't focus. The same thing that happened with Maeve was happening again. I was afraid that I was going to lose her. I couldn't go through this again. "Reid what do we know?" Hotch asked coming in. Had she been gone that long?

"I don't know Hotch, I can't focus and there is no sign of her. Her phone didn't ping a tower when he called and there is no record of the call. Hotch, she's been gone for 36 hours and I can't focus, I'm afraid I'm going to lose her. I can't go through this again."

"Hey Spence, just breathe, she'll be okay," JJ said coming up to me. She pulled me into a hug and rubbed my back. "She's a fighter Spence. She'll find a way back to us, she'll find a way to tell us where she is."

"We can't even track her; he's somehow blocked her tracker. Don't you get it?" I asked pulling away from JJ. "She is somewhere on her own, scared."

"Reid, can I talk to you?" Hotch asked. He walked into another room and I followed. He closed the door.

"What Hotch? What could be so important that you stop looking for your sister to talk to me?" I yelled.

"Do you remember what she told you? She's said she's a sociopath. If she gets her hands on this guy he won't survive. It won't matter that she doesn't have her gun. Yes, she probably is scared; she's more autistic than sociopathic. She has sociopath tendencies, but she actually has autism, and she is very high functioning. Her IQ is very high, she'll figure out how to survive Reid, she always does. Right now though we need you to focus, you know her better than anyone else on this team aside from me. Hell, you may know her better than me."

"How's that supposed to help?" I asked.

"You could predict how she would react. The only person who knew for certain how she would react is dead. He can't help us but maybe he can help her, maybe he'll keep her safe. Now let's go get this bastard." I nodded and followed Hotch out of the room. I hoped I would be able to focus, I knew some of Lea's reactions. She was a fighter and sometimes a smart ass. Over the next several hours we struggled to build a profile. He didn't contact us and we couldn't pick up on Lea's tracer.

I was having a hard time predicting what Lea would do because we couldn't build an accurate profile. All we knew was this guy was 20 to 40 years old. All of his victims were 20 to 30. That was all we had, none of the victims looked alike. They were tall, short, thin, big, dark hair, light hair and everything in-between. How were we supposed to help Lea when we had nothing to go on?
