Chapter Six Geographical Profile

The next morning I went down to breakfast early so that I could get plenty to eat then go get dressed. My breakfast was a large waffle, a fried egg, two strips of bacon, a yogurt and a coffee and a big glass of orange juice. I carried my plate to a table and saw Spencer sitting alone. I walked over to him, "mind if I join you?" I asked. He nodded. I sat down but noticed he seem sad. "You all right?" I asked.

"Yeah, bad dream," he said.

"I'm sorry," I said turning to my breakfast. I slowly ate as he stared at his cup of coffee. "Do you want to talk about it?" I asked. He shook his head. I continued to eat. In a few hours, we would have to be at the station. I finished my breakfast and started to gather my dirty dishes. "If you want to talk about it sometime you can come to me, at any time," I said getting up and leaving.

"Thank you," Spencer called to me.

I turned and smiled at him, "You're welcome."

~2 Hours later~

We had just arrived at the police station and people were milling around and it was loud. People were talking to each other, phones were buzzing, feet pounded the floor, and computers and their printers and other things were making noise. Not to mention the traffic blaring by just outside as we were next to the highway. "Agents," Sherriff Morassen said walking forward.

I walked forward to the board in the room where the sites of the murder victims had been found and where they have been taken from. They all had been taken from the shopping centers in the downtown area. There were five of them. Highly populated areas, target rich environments, easy to get someone on their own. A perfect hunting ground. Hopefully, our guy was on camera.

"Could we send all the security footage from these shopping centers where the victims went missing to our technical analyst?" I asked.

"Yeah, we have people working on it now," Sherriff Morassen said.

"Thanks," I said turning back to the board. Ten miles away was where the victims were being dumped. The geographical profile would be a bit of a trick. Both areas were full and completely surrounded by residential areas for miles. Dallas had 1,188,580 people, 598,991 of those were male. That was 50.4% of the population. Most of those would be alpha males. Our victims were in there 20's so our unsub was probably the same age.

That reduced our numbers again to a little over 106,190. The average age of males in the city was about 30. 604209 of those males were white. Those that were married totaled 175,252; those that had a partner but not married totaled 25,077.

"If our unsub is white like our victims that's more than 600,000 thousand names that we have to sort through. Garcia needs to look at those tapes and give us the addresses for the men we have already narrowed down," I said.

Aaron nodded, "You and Reid work on that. The rest of us will go talk to the families of the victims. Rossi you're with me. Prentiss and JJ you go together. We'll meet back up in a few hours and go over our new information," Hotch said holding a file. They all headed back out the door.

I pulled out my phone and called Garcia putting her on speaker, "Hey Garcia, we need the addresses of the list of men you gave us and some security footage should be coming at you. We need you to find our victims in those videos and see who might have been following them."

"I'll hit you back as soon as I have something. Garcia out." I smiled. She would lift my spirits when I was having a bad day. Just then my tablet buzzed and I opened my email. The addresses for the 20 men were in my email.

"We have the addresses of the 20 men that Garcia found," I said.

"Read them to me," Reid said going over to the map. I opened up the email and started reading as Reid put a pin on the map, marking each address. When we were done none of them lived anywhere near the sites of the abductions and nowhere near the dump sites. They all lived more than 50 miles away from these locations. Which made it highly unlikely they were the unsub. It was time to rethink and do some more digging to find the right person.
