A/N: This chapter is dedicated to vivacamila for voting and commenting on this story when there was only chapter posted and I'm still not sure where to take this story, but I know where it ends.
Chapter 2 my first case
"What?" the man named Derek asked. I brushed my long hair out of my face, pushing it behind my ear. He was the African American male. "Hotch, you're going to let someone who's deaf join the team? She won't be able to protect herself!"
"My sister is more than capable of defending herself," Aaron said. That shut the other man's trap.
"Your sister?" he asked.
Aaron nodded as did I. "We'll get you a desk set up in the bull pen by tomorrow morning," my brother said. I just nodded and pointed to my hearing aids. "No you don't have to have them on full volume, just loud enough that you can hear. And you're going to have to get over your dislike of talking." Before I knew it the next day had come round and I was in the noisy bull pen.
I sat at my desk with my cup of coffee reading my new book The Iliad in Greek. I loved the classics. "Are you actually reading that?" I heard someone ask. I looked up to see Dr. Reid. I nodded. I was turning the page every 9.4 seconds. "You read faster than I do," he said surprised.
"How fast do you read?" I said using my voice and signing.
"20,000 words a minute," he replied proudly. He was a handsome young man. He had curly brown hair, brown eyes, and gentle kind features.
"Impressive," I replied signing as I spoke. I signed every time I spoke out of habit. I was most comfortable just signing, so hopefully the team would learn so that I could have a semi-private conversation with them. I sat at my desk setting my book down.
"The Iliad!" Spencer said excited. "And in Greek?" I shrugged. "How many languages do you read?" Spencer asked.
"Far more than I speak," I replied taking a seat.
JJ then walked by with a case file in hand, "We've got a case," she said. The team slowly filed into the conference room which held the big round table. My first case. It was time to see how I worked with the rest of the team.
A/N: I know this is short but it's what I came up with. I need to think of a case. I'm going to mess with the teams ages a bit and changed things around. For example, Maeve is already dead and Emily is still on the team. I'm not just a big fan of Blake. Please give me some ideas for my first case for my OC.
