The author thinks that there is a problem with the way American history is taught because it shows Indians as horrible people. When the Americans won, it was called a victory, when Indians won it was called a massacre. It teaches kids that Indians were murderers. Americans who protect their property were called patriots, but when an Indian does it, they are called a murderer. The authors feels like the Indians had a right to kill the Americans. Indians are called treacherous and no one pays attention to the faults on the American's part.
