Most people believe normal is a happily married family, two story house, two kids and a dog. That is the stereotypical "normal" family. I do not consider myself normal. I sometimes go out of my way to be abnormal. "What is normal? Normal is a setting on a washing machine, no one wants to be that." - Ashley Purdy. I wear band T-shirts, deck myself out in band merch from head to toe, and cover everything thing I own in men who are considered "ugly" or "weird" but to me, are beaurtiful. I obsess over bands and band members and have luckily found friends not only online, but in real life that I can do it with. When I go to Hot Topic or a concert, I am abnormal there to. Everyone else has black "emo" hair and piercings and tattoos and arn't there with their dad, but I'm not the only one like that. At church, I'm the one who dresses in T-shirts and jeans instead of dresses. I've tried to be changed by my mom or peers at school but it hasn't worked. I am an individual, not a setting on a washing machine.
