Day 21 - A Song You Listen To When You're Happy
Well. That's... Just about every song under the sun. That I like, anyway. I don't go, "I'm happy, why don't I listen to Justin Bieber's Boyfriend?" xD haha that's one of the best lines ever. Speaking of the dude, did you know he actually mentioned me in one of his songs? Yup, that's right. I don't remember the name of the song, but it goes "Seven billion people in the world trying to fit in". Ahuh, that's right. Me, right there ^ xD
Anyway, back to the 'challenge' of the day! Of course, as anyone who's been reading the rest of this would know, I listen to Helena for just about every occasion. My parents are fighting? Helena. My brother is irritating me? Helena. My teddy bear grew tentacles and raped my dead hamster? Helena. But while Helena is without a doubt my favourite song, I can't keep listing it. I actually don't know why I keep bringing it up; I guess I must really like it :D
Hmm... So a happy song? Well there are plenty of those, so it'll be a tough decision for me. Um... *taps fingers on chin* what to choose, what to choose... Ya know, I'be had troubles with choosing things for a long time now. My mum continuously pushes me to make quick second, life-changing decisions. It drives me nuts trying to choose.
I'm getting sidetracked. Let's think, what's a good song I've listened to lately that's happy... Well, the songs Sunday Bloody Sunday and The Vigilante: Death or Disgrace are both stuck in my head. But I don't think either are what you'd classify as 'happy'. Death or Disgrace is more of a psychopathic kind of song; I guess if it was the kind of psychopath who kills people for entertainment then they might find it a happy song... Well, a song they listen to when they're happy.
When I'm happy, I just listen to music in general, rather than a specific song. Unless of course it's stuck in my head, or new, then I pick it out. Which makes me think of a new one that is particularly happy...
Young Volcanoes by Fall Out Boy. If you've heard the song, you'll know where I'm coming from when I say 'happy'. The finger clicking and upbeat tune; the song sounds genuinely happy. Although if you've seen the music video... Um... Well, yeah, it sorta speaks for itself. But yes, this will be my final decision for my 'happy song'. :D Cheers!
