I got out of class then texted Adaeze to see where she was.

"I'm in the library." she replied.
"Why?" I asked.
"I am looking for an engineering book."
An engineering book? Isn't it a little late to start looking for a textbook? We're in the middle of the semester.

I was coming up to the library anyway so I decided I'd go in and see her.

"Which floor?" I sent when I walked in.
"The second one."

I headed up the stairs.

"Which aisle?" I texted her.
"Look up." she sent back a few seconds later.
I looked up and saw her a few aisles down.

When she saw me see her, she went back down her aisle to look for her book again.

She's so cute.
She's in her glasses and a blue dress. Her braids were in a ponytail with two pieces out in front of her forehead.

I found the aisle she was on and watched her stare at the shelves for her book.

I leaned my shoulder against the shelf and just watched her focus.

She took her finger and started tracing the book codes for the one she needed. I snickered.

"Which one is it?" I asked.
"Engineering as a process. E2616." she replied.

She walked away from me and to the other aisle. I happily followed behind her.

She started searching again.

"You're very pretty." I told her.
"Thank you." she said while still looking for her book.
I snickered. "You're welcome."

She scanned higher up on the shelves.
I watched her face light up and assumed she found the book. She reached for it and struggled a bit at the top shelf. Her fingers could touch it but not enough to really grab it. Not her fault, these shelves are high. You'd have to be like 6' to reach that.

I took it into my own hands and walked behind her to see where she saw it.
I reached above her and grabbed the book.
But I didn't give it to her.

I looked through it.

"What do you need this for? It's almost November, why did you wait so long to get a textbook?" I asked. "This isn't for midterms is it? Did he tell us we need this?"
"He? Do you remember our professor's name?"
I thought about it. "It starts with a J...I think..."
She scoffed. "No, he did not tell us we'd need it for midterms. My other professor, Professor McHugh, told us it would be helpful for an upcoming assignment." she stated. "I want to be prepared."
I snickered. "That's cute."
She held her hand out for the book.

"I'll give it to you." I stated.
She waited.
"For a price."
She crossed her arms.
"It's nothing terrible. Just give me a kiss." I smirked and leaned my shoulder back against the shelf while I smiled at her.
"You are a pain in my behind." she smiled.
"I mean you don't have to if you don't wa-..."
She kissed me.
With a hand gently against my cheek.

I felt her slowly take the textbook out of my hand.

"Thank you." she said on my lips then walked away.
"No, thank you."
She giggled.

I followed behind her but soon caught up and took her hand.

"Wanna find something to eat after you check it out?" I asked her.
"Yes."

"Hey, Adaeze!" We heard and looked.
It was three people at a table and they smiled and waved at her.
She smiled and waved back.
We kept walking.

We made it to the front desk for her to check out her book.
"Is that all for you?" the girl behind the counter asked.
"Yes." Adaeze nodded.
I saw someone tap Adaeze's shoulder.
She turned around.

Then lit up. "Oh my goodness, hi!"
I watched the two hug.
Who is this?
Who were the other three that spoke to her?

They spoke for a bit while I just stood there.
Until Adaeze had to get back to checking out her book and they waved to each other. Me and the girl just grinned at one another awkwardly before she walked away. Actually she was pretty normal about it. I think I was the awkward one.

Adaeze got her book and we kept walking towards the exit of the library.

We walked outside and saw everybody heading to or from class.

"Hey, Adaeze!" someone yelled.
She looked. "Hi, Lily!" She waved.
"What is happening?" I thought aloud while we walked.
"Hm?"
"When did you meet all of these people?"
"Um...Some are in my class. And some keep trying to get me to join their sorority."
"I didn't know you were this popular." I scoffed.
"Some of them know me because of you." she said and looked at me.
"Huh?"
"They see you walk me to class everyday. And ask if you're my boyfriend. I say yes."
"Oh."
"But that has only happened twice. It's like 'oh I've seen you around with Koda. You guys are dating right?' And I say 'yes' and they say 'you guys are so cute. He walks with you everywhere' and I say 'yes'."
I snickered. "Guess I'm too glued to your hip."
"Too? No. I like it. I hate when you're gone and I have to walk to class all alone. I walk with my face in my phone and pretend I cannot see or hear."
I laughed. "Really?"
She nodded.
"I'll start calling you on your way to class." I stated.
She giggled. "Will you really?"
"Yea. Or is that too much?"
"No, it's not too much. I insist." she responded.
I laughed. "Then I promise next time I'm away, I'll call you when you're going to class."
"Good."
I reached and held her hand again.

"What did you want to eat?" I asked her. "We don't have another class for a while. So we can go off campus if you want."
"Tacos?" she asked and looked up at me.
"Tacos."
